Does it matter WHO is dining with an ADR?

I searched but could not find an answer…

I’m tagging along on a trip to WDW with my friend and her brother. They already had ADRs for the 2 of them and I was just going to fend for myself but now brother doesn’t want to go to two of restaurants. Can I go in his place since the number of diners is not changing? I have no idea if the names of those dining have to be supplied when making the res and if they are transferable. Thanks!

No, when booking an ADR the names don't have to be specified, except for the name of the person "managing" the ADR (usually the person who books it). So you're welcome to go in the brother's place. The ADR will be under the name of that person who's managing it; it doesn't matter who actually shows up. Enjoy!
