I'm staying at the CSR in August. I had never stayed in a hotel so I didn't know I could request anything! I have never gone to Disney so I really want to have a great experience:banana: ...does it cost more to make this request? If I do it now will they give me a for sure reservation or is it wait and see if I got it?I'm really liking the idea of a cabana or a casita. Ranchos look nice but from everything I'm reading and Buzz's land of great info I gather that the first two are the way to go.Any imput would be great

Room requests do not cost anything, but are only requests. There is no guarantee your request will be granted and you will not know until you check in whether your request has been granted.

I have a question - how often do people get or not get their request? Meaning, how effective is it to make one?

I think it's always worth it to request what's important to you. They'll always try to grant your requests.

As for how likely you are to get it, it depends on the request. If you're asking for a couple of simple things, like "upper floor, near the bus stop" the odds are very good that you'll get what you ask for. If you give them a laundry list of requests, like "building 5, first floor, corner room, near the pool, bus stop, and food court".....well, you might get some of your requests granted.

It helps to have very simply worded requests, in order of importance, and to keep the list as short as possible.

When you check in, the CM will show you your room location. If you're not happy with the location, you can ask the CM to look for a different room. If the resort is busy, they may have limited ability to make changes, but it's worth trying.

Call & put in your request as you want them but not too many maybe three at tops. I have always gotten what I requested especially if it only two requests I put in for. I get the one I listed first & was the most important to me. They will try to do their best to give you what you requested but like other have said only a request. If you don't like your room/location you can always ask if there is another room if they have another one to give you. Might have to wait until next day which is a pain but if you are unhappy. Good luck. :) :goodvibes
