Hi, just wondering if the hojo has suites. If so does anybody know around how much those rooms run a night during August. I have read so many good things about this hotel but I really need a suite to keep the peace in the family and have never seen it mentioned if they have them or not.
The hojo website doesn't list them as a option either.

Thanks! princess:

They have one Queen Suite and one King Suite. The Queen Suite is in Building 2, on the 4th floor, overlooking the pool area. It has 2 queens and a full bath in one room, and second room that is a living room, with pull-out sofa sleeper (double or smaller size) and a large bar area with micro and fridge and lots of counterspace for preparing quick meals. There is also a bath with shower off of this room. We stayed there a couple years ago, and the extra space was nice.

The King Suite is in Building 1, and I believe has the same basic set up, but only includes a King bed in one room, and a sofa sleeper in the other. Not really all that great for sleeping more guests.

As far as prices go, you can call and ask for the Disboard Rate discount, and I would assume that would put them at around $150-$175 per night depending on season.

HTH.

So only 2 suites in that entire hotel? Only four of us going I just like the extra room of suites.

Can you suggest another good hotel that has suites in the walking distance area? Doesn't have to be super fancy just clean with a fridge and micro would be nice. The more I read the more confused i'm getting.

Thanks!:thumbsup2

They are doing kids suites too - not sure when they will be available though - we have one booked for October - you could call them and ask if they will have them ready for your trip.

Check the Residence Inn on Clementine. Definitely within walking distance (10-20 minutes depending of ages and number of people in your group - but ART is available at that hotel). All the rooms are suites with full kitchens... and includes comp. breakfast everyday. We typically stay in the 1-bedroom suite... it's around 525 square feet, with full kitchen, living room (with sofa sleeper) and a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds. They also have a studio suite (the grandparents always get that when they join us at Disneyland) it's a king bed, living room (also with sofa sleeper) and full kitchen. I'd guess that suite is around 400-450 square feet in size.

Hope that helps.

Hojo kids suites are open in July (maybe sooner..) I have it booked for July 24-Aug 1.
Its brand new. 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths,: 1 kingbed with dorm fridge, tv and bathroom, second room with bunk beds, tv, bathroom and couch. I think with the 15% discount it come out to 136 or 139 a night (peak rates)

Oh that sounds like a good deal. We are planing to go the first week of August. Did you have to call the hotel directly to get that room? Also my girls are older do you know if the bunk beds are full sized beds. The second bathroom would definitely come in handy too since it takes the oldest one for ever to get ready.

yes, call directly. If you have an AP, you can get 20% of the rate. If not mention this board and you will get a 15% rate

So if the second bedroom has bunk beds and a couch, does that bedroom sleep two or four, i.e. does the couch pull out?

Seems like a waste to have a two bedroom suite if it can only sleep four total. Of course I have six people and usually need two connecting rooms!

I'm not sure if it sleeps 5 or 6 total =hopefully there will be more info out soon on them. Though the concept room video is on youtube.

From what I understand the couch pulls out.

When I called HOJO about the kids' suites, they were available starting the beginning of July. I was so bummed because our trip is June 24-30 :( LOL The price they quoted me for the summer is $164/nt (that's without a discount). As for the sofa's, I'm not sure what they decided. They were originally supposed to be queen sofa bed's, but the HOJO lady said that she heard they were going to be single sofa bed's instead. I am still so disappointed that we couldn't get a kid suite there because it's a pirate theme which boys would love, in addition to the water area. :( Oh well.

Thanks for the link to the video. In it they said the kids' room could accommodate a rollaway, so even if the couch is a single pullout, it could conceivably sleep six.

I have no immediate plans for this, but given the cost of suites elsewhere, uncertainty getting connecting rooms, and the location of the Hojo, this is going on my list of places to try sometime!
