This might get more notice over on the Disneyland board. I assume you are talking about the Hojo across the street from Disneyland. Building 1 has seven floors. The 7th floor does have skylights which is why I have never stayed on that floor. I only have one experience with the premium room, and we may only have been on the 3rd floor (can't remember for sure). Fireworks viewing from the balcony there always seems a bit iffy to me because there can be trees in the way, or the angle just isn't the greatest. Still you do see something, and the music can be loud enough to carry all the way over. You do need to be staying in a premium room in building one to be on the Disney side of the building; standard and kids suite rooms are on the highway side of building one.
