Does fabric content matter for transer paper?

I bought the dark transfer paper from ebay that was recommended to me by some of you. My question is this.....I thought I read on a post here that it doesn't matter if you use 100% cotton or cotton poly blend. When reading the instructions that came with the transfer paper, it said to use 100% cotton Has anyone had experience using this paper with either fabric? Or perhaps does it depend on the paper used? Thanks for any help.

I have used it on both and it is fine on either a blend or 100% cotton
