Does everyone that is listed on the reservation need to be present when checking in? We have a package for the 4 of us and DH may be a few hours later than the rest of us. Will they let us check in and give me his park ticket?

Thanks
Mel

I wouldn't think you should have any problem. We travel frequently with my parents and they and DH usually take the kids and start wondering around the resort while I check us in. They always give me everyone's tickets.

My family (husband and 2 Boys) always ditch me the minute we hit the lobby.:dance3: Every time they just hand over the whole enchillada and I distribute them when I round 'em up. :grouphug: you can always call the res. 800 # just to put your mind at ease before you arrive.

I've only heard of them checking to make sure everyone was there if you have free dining (to be sure you didn't add a fake person to get more free credits).

like an OP stated, they only need everyone present if it's free dining or a promotion where each person "gets" something. This past May my DH arrived before the kids and I and checked us all in. When we arrived he handed us our room keys/tickets and we signed them.

Has anyone ever had the experience of a head count at check in for free dining? I ask because I have a room for 4 booked at Pop with FD for Aug. I think 4 in a room at Pop is a bit tight, so I would like to book a 2d room at AAA rate and have 2 in each room. We'll still only be 4 for FD, but Disney is getting more $$ for the 2d room. I'd think they would prefer making more $$. :confused3 Nevertheless, they tell me if I book the 2d room in my name, I will be taken off the FD reservation.

I'd like to have the 2d adult in my room book a room only AAA rate. But, what if she has to be "counted" when I check in, then check in herself?

We've done free dining three times and never had to have everyone there. My DH ALWAYS runs to the bathroom as soon as we get to POR, as we've usually been driving a few hours. I go and check us in. No problem.

DH and friends will be checking in on a Thursday; DS and I will be arriving on Friday. We're all staying in a 2 BDRM villa......

DH and friends will most likely be at DHS when we arrive. Can they leave my key at the front desk for me? Or do I check in and get my own when I arrive?

DW and I have checked in prior to our adult DD joining us and they've given us a key for her. If you can't meet up with DH/friends you should be able to get a keyfrom the desk when you get there. It might be easier/faster if you can just meet your party and get the key from them. Hope that answers your question.:earsboy:
