Does everyone have this moment?

Hi. I apologise in advance if i sound like i'm having a mad rant. Just wondered if it's only me or if everyone has a 'moment' like i've just had? Suddenly had a mad panic about getting our date. What if we can't get it. We need the last week of October 2011 as we have 6 children in our party and that is the week of our school holidays. All of their parents (3 couples) have said they can only come during that week. We have an estimated guest count of about 20 and i just had a vision of no-one being able to come!!! What am going to be like nearer the time? I feel stressed already!!! And breath. Rant over! Really sorry girls! How did you all deal with this?

I totally understand that feeling but in the end I never even got to worry about it because Danny suggested we move our date up and the date he mentioned was within the booking window.

Don't stress it. There are several locations and times available, if you want that day you'll work with whatever is available. Most likely it'll be what you want!

I definitely agree! If the date is most important, be open to different times and place. We want a specific event at night, so we're hoping for two days in a week (at hopefully noon, if not 10 am).

I think everyone feels that way. We needed to have our wedding during a specific time too, it had to be when schools were out and it had to be a certain week since some of my family had to book their timeshare early and if we changed it would have cost them cancellation fees. But if you're flexible on date/time/location there's no reason you should have a problem. And if you think about it, if they're coming for a week, that gives you multiple days that you could have your wedding.

We choose to have the wedding on a Tuesday to up our chances of getting our first choices and we didn't have any problem. I didn't want to change our locations, so I would have most likely moved the time or the day if necessary.

Its really frustrating having to wait till a year out to actually be able to do anything, particulary when other venues would let you book much earlier, but once we get to October this year, I'm sure it will get easier, or at least I'm hoping it will...

No, I haven't panicked about that yet! I'm still trying to put a tenative guest list together, and my mom and I have different opinions of how it should be.

But I can already tell this is going to be a stressful year!

Yes! I was cool as a cucumber for a while, until the very last second! Then I was sooo panicked !!! We got exactly what we wanted even after going into a lottery with one other couple, thank goodness! But DH and I decided he would handle the stress of actually talking to DFTW and hearing news from them instead of me

So now I plan, keep things organized, design etc and he keeps in touch with our lovely DFTW peeps. Truly they are so good to us! Gotta love them I can just get so angsty about this one event it works so much better to work as a team. I am lucky to have such an involved DH.
