Does Everyone get a Note of Appreciation

from WDW? We just got back from a wonderful vacation, and have now received a form note with a sketch of Minnie drawn by Don Williams, a senior character artist. I thought it was very sweet. Is this customary?

We have gotten some form of a "Thank You for Visiting" 6 out of our last 7 trips. Our favorite was one was a Thank You Card with the Big Four waving on the front and signed by them on the inside.

We've gotten a sketch of Mickey, Minnie and Dumbo. I plan on framing them and hanging them in our family room. I think we got a duplicate Dumbo.

I'm not sure how they determine who gets them but when posts and pics have been shared there are always a number of people who respond saying they've never received one before. But I have one from each of my last 6 trips even including a 1 day/night stay.

I've gotten a few now. I want to say I have three characters (Minnie and Mickey a few times and I think the last one was Donald). I'm not sure what I'll do with them yet but they are fun.

We got Mickey last year and our first trip this year was Minnie. DH keeps reminding me to frame them.

Yes we have gotten them after every trip for the past few years. We even have a couple of duplicates. Before the sketches they had one that looked like a water color painting have a couple of those too.

We received Dumbo after our May-June 2014 trip, but nothing after our Thanksgiving 2015 trip. I did send them a thank you email for the extra help and pixie dust we received after a mix-up one day

You can count me as one who has never received one from WDW or the Backstage Magic ABD trip we took to California/DL. We did however receive one from DCL.

I wonder how it is decided who gets one of these. Maybe living in Canada reduces the odds due to higher postage costs?

That's definitely possible. I know there are other things they won't send to Canada I assume because of shipping costs.

We have received them 3 out of our last 4 trips we stayed on property. I don't think we received one for the first trip we took after DD was born, but since that time, we have received them (& so far, no duplicates). I am hoping we receive one after our next trip (13 days away!) because I want to frame them for my office (but I need 3 to make it work!)
