Does everyone get a car at Sci-Fi?

We have an ADR for Sci-Fi and I was just wondering if we will definitely get to sit in a car? I understand that we may have to share a car with other parties, but I was reading on something that there are also regular tables in the back of the restaurant, so Im worried that we may get stuck with one of those. My son would be so disappointed if we didn't get to sit in a car.

I think they might give you that as an option if they are busy. I'm not positive though. I would tell the CM at check-in that this is important to you.

Having a reservation guarantees you a car. Picnic tables are for walk-ups (I guess you could ask for one if they were running late and you didn't want to wait any more).

I heard the hostess explain that to 3 different groups in the 5 minutes we were waiting to be seated. Being a party of 2, we were seated in the 3rd row of a car behind a family of 4.
