Does drool ruin clothing?

I was brushing my teeth and a stain of drool dripped onto my Joe Boxer cotton pyjama t-shirt. The drool absorbed, or at least faded away, but I'm wondering does the stain ruin the clothing if it is not washed right away, even if it absorbs or fades away?

Not from the drool itself, but the toothpaste in it could stain.

It'll be fine

There was no toothpaste in it, it was apparently just a drool or water stain, at least as from what I could see. Like I said it absorbed or faded away and feels fine but I'm just wondering if it will still ruin the fabric? Thank you for your response by the way, I really appreciate it :)

Cannot tell you how many pajama/regular type clothes I have washed after this issue (11 year old son), and yes, it will come out just fine! :)

actually, the enzymes in drool/saliva can be very harmful to clothing, especially cotton or natural fibers. less harmful to polyester etc. i mean, saliva, begins the digestion of starch. scary stuff to get on ones clothes. i recommend removing any article of clothing contaminated with saliva immediately before it hits your skin and begins digesting that...

please note: this entire posting was tongue-in-cheek(pun intended).

Yeah, how about you just go ahead and throw your pj's in the wash and let us know how it turns out.
