Does DL have the POTC scavenger hunt like WDW?

It’s been five years since we’ve been to Disneyland. We just went to WDW last year and my son loved the pirates of the Caribbean scavenger hunt and sorcerers of Magic. Does DL have anything like that?

Thanks!

Yup! If you're staying onsite ask for the game at the concierge desk in the lobby. There's one for POTC, Small World, Finding Nemo and Jungle Cruise. When you hand it in, you have it marked and receive a prize for each one.
Cool. Never heard of that.

I just bought one of the original deciphering code cards off ebay. I remember getting these when the ride first opened. The back side has the add for ATT on it.

I still have one of these as well. It's kind of sad, but most of the messages are now in the parts of the queue that aren't really used all that much (after the FP merge, but before you meet up with the line near the safety film room). You would need to stop and let people go by you if you really wanted to spend the time to translate all of the messages.

Interesting...I saw it described as a trivia game in the past. Is that what it is? Or are there interactive elements (like the PotC game at the MK) or trading cards to collect (like SotMK)?

It's not a trivia game. It's mostly they type of warnings or cryptic advice that treasure hunters would expect to encounter in a Hollywood temple/pyramid.

The Indy Jones messages are warnings (usually), but I was asking kirstabelle13 about the On-Site hotel game. Are those also like that? I could see that working for PotC, but it would be very odd for IaSW.

I have a copy of the DL hotel games, but at home. I think it was described as "trivia" games. I will make sure when I get home tonight.

You have to find elements in the ride and answer questions that you would only know if you ride the ride (or are really great at google). For example, I think a question on the POTC one asks how many boats are in the ride (besides the one you're riding on)? And holy moly is it a lot. But that's just one thing. At the same time, you're trying to find how many chickens are for auction. It's tough! lol

Thank you, we are staying at the Grand Californian. My son will be super excited to hear this.
