I just received my disneyland passes and such in the mail. My mum and I danced around in the kitchen hugging and crying as this is our very first trip to DL ever. This is the one place we have wanted to go together as we made a promise to each other years ago that her and I would just go one day. I then turned on some disney music and mum and I started crying again. :grouphug:

Does anything about Disneyland touch your heart enough to make you cry? Did you ever cry the first time you went in totally amazment that you were actually there? What did it for you?

OOOooooo! Fun Times ! I am going in September and i am taking my friend who has never been to a theme/amusement park in her life.. and she doesnt know that i am taking her... yet.. Have loads of fun!

I think it's just great that you're both so excited that you cry tears of joy! Disneyland really is a magical place, especially if you go at an easy pace and really take in all the detail, sights, sounds, and wonderfulness of it all! :cloud9:

I'll admit, I've teared up a few times during the fireworks, but that's a secret for just us. I'd never admit it to my DH. :rolleyes1

Oh yes, the first time was when we walked through the tunnel and again during the fireworks. Heck, even replying to your post makes me a little misty!

The chocolate chip cookie boat dessert at Blue Bayou makes me cry happy tears :goodvibes

Absolutely!! Whenever I hear the MSEP music, I cry, which is probably not a good thing since it's on repeat on my CD player in the car and it's kind of hard to see when I'm driving!!!

Hi -

I cry when I hear "When you wish Upon a Star".

When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you

If your heart is in your dreams, no request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star as dreamers do

(Fate is kind, she brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing)

Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you thru
When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true.

Hoo boy, I cried at my DS's kindergarten graduation last month! So I can only imagine what it will be like when we step through the gates into DL this September - It was a childhood dream of mine to go to DL someday, and now the dream will come true! I just can't wait to see the reactions of my two boys, who will be ages 6 and 2. Magic! pixiedust:

Oh does disney ever make me cry. I am 29 years old and the night before we go I get butterflies in my stomach. Normally to the point of getting really sick. And it lasts until I get there. Then the day we come home I usually cry because I don't want to leave. It is my most favorite place in the world.

Yep, it makes me and dh both get teary eyed. The kids too actually. We suprised them with the last trip. The last night, they cried because we didnt know when we we would be back and they didnt want to say good bye to the park. It was sweet.

F! and the fireworks get us everytime.

That is our situation too! For the first time in a long time, we don't have a future trip to Disneyland on the calendar. It made our goodbye to the park, especially the castle very hard and of course that same night knowing that would be our last time to enjoy Remember also made me cry. I think it sounds like many of us have very happy, special memories tied to Disneyland, which is what its all about!

Last year both my older son and I were in tears as we left. We'd had 3 1/2 days in the parks...the problem being, I'm not sure how long we'd have to stay before we could leave without getting teary eyed!

I've been warning my kids for years that when I'm old and don't have to worry about anyone but myself again I'll be moving to Florida to work at DisneyWorld. I'm only half joking! I worked at the Royal Gorge for 8 years, so I've done the whole tourism gig before. What amazes me about Disney is that I KNOW how difficult tourists can be...and yet the cast members still bend over backwards to make everyone happy! And, it's not because they're getting their palms greased, it's just what they do.

You know its nice to know that there is a place you can go to have the time of your life, to the point that it makes you cry. But also have others who feel exatly the same as you do.

With all the pain going on in the world, its nice to know that there is still a happy connection out there whether its physically in a park, or mentally & emotionally sharing with others.

I wish Walter Disney were still around, that man would have more thank you's coming from people around the globe then he himself could ever imagine.

omg if i had a dollar for every time Ive cried in DL I would be so rich I could live there.... :lmao: I'm so bad I cry watching videos of the christmas parade or hear the music, or the fireworks or oh what the heck I cry at everything related to DL

Every time we leave on our last day I look down main street for a last time and shed a tear because I don't want to go. The other time was when they did the Christmas fireworks and the snow was falling and even though we get 3 feet of snow here some winters it just seemed so awesome to be standing in Disneyland and see the "snow" falling!

I was listening to my Musical History of Disneyland on my way to work this morning and that made me tear up. I don't usually cry once I'm there, but I cry a lot (happy cry) as I do my planning before I go.

I cry going in.
I cry going out.
I cry every time I think how fortunate and blessed I am to be experiencing these wonderful places with people I love.
I cry watching other people experience these wonderful places with people they appear to love.
I cry if the Dole Whip line is too long.
I cry if they are out of Tigger tails at the bakery.
I cry with the first bite of a pickle on Main Street.

Man, I've got to toughen up!!! :goodvibes

As you can see, you are not alone. I am getting teary eyed just reading this thread because I also cry for many of the reasons listed above. It is just so special to be there with people you love! Didn't see it mentioned but I also cry during the parade of dreams Brother Bear song, Welcome to our family!
