Does Disney typically offer AP4 rates in early October?

Hi everyone,

I've planned our first DL trip as a family (my husband, my two young children, and myself) for October 5-8, 2008. We will be staying at the Grand Californian. Currently, we do not have an AP. Would it make sense for us to purchase one with the intention on saving $ on our hotel stay? We're working with a travel agent and have made a deposit on the trip already. Just wondering if anyone out there has any advice. Thanks!
