I have suddenly decided my neice needs princess costumes for her favorite baby doll.

Does Disney sell these or is Auntie going to the fabric store?

Thanks,
Dawn

How big is the doll? I'm pretty sure I saw some costumes like that for the Build-a-bears. I've not ever purchased any, but I'm sure I saw a thread on it here a few months ago. Sorry I can't be much help.

I just found this:

http://www.buildabear.com/Disney/

The only clothing I have seen at Disney World is the costume type outfits that fit the Disney Dolls (approx. 18" dolls)

The doll shop in Germany has absolutely gorgeous ones, but they're pricey.

Build a bear has some of the princess outfits available in some stores and online. I know they have Tinkerbell and Snow White.

but they're pricey

No kidding - I just about fainted when I checked the label - I can't remember exaclty but I think it was over $100 for just the Snow White dress, not including the doll

I'd say if you get shoes or anything that's right....I'm thinking they were $75 (a little less for Tink) and shoes, wands, whatever other stuff like that they had was extra. Those are amazingly well made dresses though, and could be worth it if the owner is prepared to take care of it....I think it'd be too tempting for a kid to play with in those pretty clothes though! I couldn't have resisted! BTW-I have one of those dolls from years ago when they only had the makers for a few days a year and they just hold up beautifully, hair and all (better than I can say for some of my other high end dolls) and everything about her is as perfect as the day my grandparents brought her home to me.

Simplicity has a current pattern that has all 6 princess dresses. Not as elaborate as some, but she'll be able to play with them and that's what I want.

What really cracks me up is the pattern retails for about $12 but all stores (Wal Mart, Hancocks, Joann's, etc) sell them for 50% off the price and of course the $1 ea sales thru the year. I saw the pattern on ebay going for over $12!!!!

Some of us Disney nuts will pay more for something on ebay than full retail in a store. We are a funny lot.
