Does Disney Just Hate Me?

I have had the same problem before. Sometimes I can see the room pics and sometimes I can’t, and I always use the same browser. I figured it was a glitch and will try back another day. I have looked at rooms on trip advisor(not sure if I can say that).

Thank goodness for other people that post pics

So you titled the thread “does Disney just hate me” because you can’t see some pics? Lol

They work fine for me so sounds like the problem is on your end. Maybe you should title the thread “do I just hate myself”? Lol

The thread title may be over-dramatic but it generated a legitimate conversation. That's what ultimately matters.

I hate to say this and I don’t mean it to sound like a flippant comment, but I’m a bit worried to see what happens the first time you get a “Stitch Ate the Page” or “Olaf Lost His Head” error. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

If it makes you feel any better, some of the room photos on Disney’s website are either outdated or filtered/Photoshopped so much for marketing purposes, they aren’t all that helpful.

lol It might fry my brain.
I have learned form Disney that even though it is the happiest place on earth it is the worst when it comes to fixing any kind of problem. One year I took my parents with me to Disney and since my parents don't have a computer I had them send all their info to my email address. Well for years after that I kept getting Disney emails addressed to my mother and of course they were all for either free dining or hotel room discount pin codes. No matter how many times I called the couldn't fix it and I couldn't use the codes as they were in her name.

Of course the fact that they don't offer a Canadian 1-800 # is frustrating also. Thank goodness for google phone or I would be racking up a lot of long distance charges.

That wasn't an error, it was intentional on Disney's part.

Disney often targets the additional guests on reservations for future discounts. Those of us who go regularly...well, Disney knows that they've already got us hooked. There's little business justification for offering us discounts, we'll likely show up anyway. The guests are a more productive target. Either it was their first visit, or they don't visit very often, and maybe a discount will be just the incentive they need to book another trip.

Yep. Hence the reason I’ve never received an email with discount offers.

Thanks! I will give it a try and let you know if I make any headway.

Thanks.

Sad thing is that I only go at most every 4 years and my parents would never go without me. Mind you I have not gotten any email offers from Disney in years for myself or for my parents.

Just finished purchasing our trip to Disney by using a DVC rental company and I wanted to show the kids the room we got but none of the gallery pics work. When I click on the pics it just keeps trying to load but nothing happens. This happens even when I try to look at the Disney dining picture galleries.

Is this just me or is it happening to anyone else?

I already contacted Disney but that just highlighted how idiotic the workers who responded were.

I sent them a message stating:
Just wanted to let you know that the gallery pictures do not load on your Disney World website. I have tried on multiple browsers and computers and they do not work. Could someone fix this?

Their reply:
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort!

I replied:
Thank you for replying but you did not address my email at all. When will the gallery pictures on the Disney World website work? They do not load not matter what browser or computer I use.
When will this be fixed?

Their reply:
Thank you for contacting us regarding your Disney PhotoPass® account.

What!!!! After another frustrated response from me they finally reply:
Thank you for your reply. I apologize for the incorrect response in the prior email. I'll forward your feedback to our Webmaster for review in attempts to reload the pictures on our website to be able to view the rooms.

This was more that a week ago and still the website doesn't work for me. None of the gallery pics work.

Is anyone else having this problem?

(Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section - wasn't sure exactly where to post)
Why not just look at the pics or videos of the resort on the broker page where you booked? If they don't have pics then check out dvcrequest they have pics and videos. Also, I am sure the resort you are looking at has a specific forum here. Also maybe google search the resort. There are so many more ways to research your resort choice and not to have to email Disney. Happy planning

Thanks for the suggestion. I have done that already. It's just annoying that their site doesn't work properly. So without people emailing or calling how would they know to fix it. Plus it takes extra time to research for specific pictures and I don't always have extra time.

My guess it's a problem with their Canadian website. I just now tried to open the gallery pictures on a couple of different resorts and nothing comes up. I switched over to the US website and they all work fine.

At the very top where it says Canada (English), click on this and change to United States (English). Now the gallery pictures come up fine. Went back and forth to test and it's definitely with their Canadian site.

Thanks for this! In Canada and have been having the same problem, but this worked!

Actually, I've had multiple other problems too. Wouldn't let me purchase tickets (told me I had to call), and when our 180 window opened, wouldn't let me book anything outside of 180 days (i.e. couldn't book for day 182 even though I had a 4 day on-site reservation). I wonder if they're all Canadian issues too....

The only advantage to the Canadian site is if you're looking for Canadian only promotions or tickets. If something doesn't work on the Canadian site, I'd always try it on the US site to see if it works there.

They don't offer toll free calls in the US either.

Maybe that's the case lol. Sure is frustrating.

I have tried clearing my cache, 3 different browsers, on my phone, my husbands computer and I had my husband try on his computer at work. None of them work.

Maybe it's a Canadian issue. Is anyone here from Canada who is having issues?

If it makes you feel any better, I have been having the exact same problem on both my Mac and PC and I live in Canada :). If you do get any sort of useful reply from Disney, I would really appreciate it if you could post the info. Thanks!

I have the same problem and also from Canada. I have tried it on my laptop using EDGE, regular Chrome and Incognito on Chrome. I wonder if it has to do with location. I can only view them on my I-pad.

Yep, another Canadian who can’t open the photo galleries on the website.

I’ve never noticed this to be an issue in the past as I’ve never tried to look at their galleries. I’m a big fan of using The Google Images (as my mom calls it). I just like seeing a larger selection of photos on the screen at once rather than scrolling through a gallery. But that’s just me. :-)

Never even occurred to me!

I was looking for Canadian tickets, so wouldn't have helped me there. But it still won't let me book day 182, even on the US site. :(

Thanks that worked.

Well that sucks for you also. I thought I would try the chat feature but it always says that all the cast members are busy with other customers. It's been like that for the past month.

Good point. Maybe look at the pictures in the resort-appropriate thread, or the wdwinfo.com page
