Hello!

I have a quesiton that's been burning a hole- and I haven't known who the right person to ask is.

Does Disney decorate the suite you stay in for your first night- candles, flowers, petals, bath, champagne, etc.- or is that something the bridesmaids need to do?

Disney will do anything...for a price. ;)

I'm sure you can arrange something through DFTW, or the resort (concierge staff, if you are staying concierge), but I don't know what the cost would be.

Also, while each resort and CM you find might give you a different answer...it is my understanding that Disney will not really do anything to your room until after you have checked in. Just something to consider if you are checking in after your wedding.

HAHAHA!

Hmmmm... making our departure and goign straight to the check-in desk just doesn't sound good to me! I'll have to send someone over to be sure they have the keys...

Probably easier to have the bridal party do it then.

I don't know about easier...how much do you trust your bridal party? :rotfl: (sorry, I couldn't resist...the getaway car covered in condoms from "Steel Magnolias" came immediately to mind!)

But it's definitely cheaper...and maybe more personal! :)

Not to discourage you...a lot of what Disney will do depends a lot on where you are staying, the CM's, etc....no one really did anything for us, and that was fine!! It didn't diminish our experience at all! You may find that the CM's at your hotel do lots more for you...but I just wanted you to know that it wasn't included in any of the planning (unless you do it) and shouldn't be "expected"... :flower:

HAHAHA!

I hadn't thought of that! I turst my bridesmaids to do a good job. The guys... no, not so much. Then again, I barely trust the BM with the rings :rolleyes1

We got married at a courthouse last year (military), so for us, it's really important that the night be special and romantic. Plus, it's our five year anniversary anyway, so.... :p

UnderTheMistleToe - I am actually contacting a service to decorate our room on our wedding night. It's not cheap, but I think it will be worth it. We have had to put our wedding back a few times and we are ready to celebrate big time now that we finally get to walk down the aisle.

Here's a link to their site:

FutureAshleyDukes: can you share or perhaps just pm how much they run using their service for room deco? and what kind of they deco? thanks

Hey-

Thanks for the information! I've checked out the website, too. I hope it all goes well for you guys! I think we're going to stick to the Maid of Honor doing it.

xoxo
