Does Discover 5% back really work for GC on bjs.com?

I recently signed my DH up for a Discover cashback with the match. Can I really buy the discounted Disney gift cards on BJ's.com and get the Discover 5% cashback? Has anybody done this with success? This means we would get 10% back. Wow!

It works! I purchased $1k worth for $949.00. Discover just credited me the 5% when my statement came through. By the way, I am not a BJ's member. No membership is required if you purchase online.

Yes! I just bought $800 in gift cards from BJ's online (paid $759.92) using my Discover and when my statement closed I earned $38! I love Discover because you can direct deposit your cash back making it easier to use your money within a few days. Keep in mind that Discover limits your 5% earnings to $1,500 in purchases per quarter. So you would only be able to get (15) $100 gift cards to get the 5% bonus back. They released Q2 and in includes warehouse clubs again. So I am buying more in April! I roll my eyes at the target posts I see. This is better way to get a discount to me.
