Does dining plan track my credits versus my husband's credits?

We have purchased the regular dining plan (snack, 1 quick, 1 table) for May 2014. Sometimes I can't eat a full appetizer, meal, and dessert. If I just eat an appetizer for a meal at a table restaurant and don't use the dining plan, can my husband later use that credit? I didn't know/understand if there is tracking at the individual person or by my band. I'd rather forego 1 or 2 big meals for an appetizer instead, so we can go to another restaurant during our stay. I finally just learned that we don't both have to use the dining plan at a restaurant.

All of the dining credits are pooled to the room. It won't list "your" credits separately from your husband's. Theoretically one person could use all of the credits if they wished. If you want just an app you would have to pay OOP since the DDP does not include an app, but at the same meal your husband could use a credit for his meal. By using just one credit you can use the saved credit for a 2 credit meal or an additional meal later.

I just want to make sure you are clear. The dining plan you have purchased does NOT include the app, so if you or your DH want an app, you will have to pay OOP.

As the pp's said, the regular DDP doesn't include an appetizer, but rather a dessert. The DlxDDP is the one that includes an appetizer. With that said, you can order an appetizer and pay OOP and save a credit to use later.
