Does DDE card work WITH dining plan?

In other words, can you have a nice TS meal, order a couple of drinks, have the dining plan pay for the meal, and the DDE card take 20% off the drinks?

We have two trips planned. The first (short trip) probably won't use the dining plan. The second will, but will the DDE be a usable addition? We have seasonal passes (YEAH! Just bought them tonight ) so it is $60 for the card. We may be able to stretch out it's use to three trips but is it worth it if we have the dining plan on two of them?

Yes, you can use the DDE with the DDP to cover beverages (and other items not covered by the plan). They split those items on 2 tickets to make it easier. One thing to think about, you have to spend at least $300 on the meals to break even with the DDE, so if you are only using it for a really short trip and then only for drinks on the 2nd trip, it might not be worth it for you.

Just a reminder that most have noticed that the same 18 percent gratuity that shows on the dining receipt is automatically added to all oop purchases at table service restaurants.
