Does Chef Mickeys Lunch have Characters?

Chef MIckeys for lunch has just been added during Free Dining in September.

WHen I book online it says there are no characters at lunch. But when I call the CM/Dining line - they say there ARE characters at lunch.

Has anyone ever had LUNCH at Chef Mickeys - are there characters there for lunch?

Yes, online it says no characters. This threw me for a loop too so i called the wdw dine and they said yes that there is indeed characters. I didn't believe her so the next day i called again and told another CM that online says no characters, she says she was sure there were and she put me on hold to verify again and it was a yes.

I have never actually eaten lunch at Chef Mickey's, but I believe the characters are present. Isn't that way people go to Chef Mickey's? I can't imagine Disney offering a meal there without characters.

During my previous stays at the Contemporary during free dining I have looked down into Chef Mickey's when they were serving lunch and saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto all there. So I agree it would be weird not having them at lunch considering it's called Chef Mickey's.

Breakfast and dinner have characters, but lunch doesn't

I called tonight CM checked with supervisor and was told yes they are there for lunch.

When I was there in May, I tried to change my breakfast resi for a dinner one and was told that Chef Mickeys was breakfast only and the last resi of the day was 11:30 (so I changed mine to that)

What time is your resi?

Do you know this because you went there for lunch and they didn't have characters? Because i called and spoke with two seperate CMS who both said there were indeed characters for lunch.

Lunch is typically only offered at Chef Mickey's during free dining as a way to give the dining plan guests more options to use their TS credits (The Diamond Horseshoe in MK also opens during free dining). Characters do appear at Chef Mickey's for lunch. They did when we were there last year and the year before.

I think I mentioned this on vcgirl's post itself, but the Disney site has been notorious as of late with regards to character meals. There was a considerable thread shortly after the new system came out regarding LTT possibly having characters again (site said they did, but they don't).

Same deal here, it's just a bug where the lunch data did not get filled out correctly. They will have the characters at lunch, nothing to worry about.

Yes, characters for lunch - we've done it and I checked with Disney myself because of the online booking changes. I hope they get it straightened out soon. Darn beta...

When they've done lunch before, they had characters. If they don't, then theyv'e changed things for 2010.

Sorry to say it, but you can't trust the website. Awhile back they were saying characters at LTT and no characters at Garden Grill and freaking people out.
