Does BWV book early for Star Wars Weekends?

I am doing some planning for my husband's 30th birthday (which is actually not until NEXT year but I am an obsessive planner) and I want to surprise him with a trip to DW for Stars Wars Weekends in May 2007. I plan on going the very first weekend (the weekend before Memorial Day) and would like to stay at the BWV for convenience rather than my home resort of SSR. Anyone ever book a studio at 7 months out during the third week of May and have any problems? Any insight would be great!

but to test - call MS now and ask about this May... if you get it you know not to worry....

you don't have to make a reservation!

What has been others' experiences booking for this weekend???

but we are on the waitlist for a studio for both BW and BCV for the first week of June (6/3 to 6/8) for the SWW. Right now they have us at OKW.

I hope we get out waitlist. We have never waitlisted before. Do you guys think it will come through?

I was able to book BWV this May (the end of the month) at the 7 mth mark with no problem. I had my choice of standard view, preferred view, and boardwalk view. BWV is not my home resort.

I'm doing the 1st weekend of SWW this year. Booked at slightly after 7 months, didn't get standard view but preferred wasn't a problem. Other option would have been BCV.
We're staying 10 nights.Our home resort is OKW.

Just FYI, we did STW last year and it was AWESOME. Although my wife wasn't overly impressed, my kids and I had a ball. I think the coolest was being able to get pictures with the various characters. I'm sure if he is even a casual Star Wars fan he will really enjoy it. We are acutally going back this year arriving on June 9th and staying at BWV.
