... volunteer? My school is super big on volunteer hours, so you need it for everything! i volunteer at this 19th century historical "village". i get to dress up in a cool dress, but i wish i had the victorian clothes. oh well. i love wearing those huge dresses, so that's what motivated me. :)

that sounds really fun.. my school doesn't make you do a certain amount of hours. I go to My Brother's Table (food drive for the homeless) sometimes to butter bread or make salad or something. It's rewarding when the people actually say THANK YOU. (I hate it when they just grab the salad from you and say nothing  )

I think my HS requires it my Senior year. That's just stupid I think. Meh, I'll voulenteer at the local dragstrip, and maybe get paid under the table while I'm at it.

that's cool! i know, i'd be aggravated too if they didn't say anything!

There's alot of volunteering clubs in my school... I'm only in one. It's called TEAM. (Together, Everyone Achieves More). I chose this one because it is not just with my highschool, but with the two other highschools in my town. That way, I can be volunteering, but also seeing friends that I never get to see!
Each year, we are required to do 12 hours of service. The school year isn't started yet, and already I have 25! lol. I'm a senior, so that means I'm in charge of things and HAVE to get the hours done early. It's fun.

I volunteer too!!!!

In Downtown Denver I volunteer for the Molly Brown house every summer.....

every summer i go on a Mission to Mexico. everyone helps out the less fortunate, and we make food and things like that. its great because they actually say thank you. last year when we were leaving all these kids were around me sobbing and saying "thank you! thank you all so much" (or so im told, i dont speak spanish ^^;;; )

This summer I volunteered at my mom's state office, I helped file and do paperwork stuff like that, you know!!! During the last part of the summer I helped the little cafe' downstairs of the office, I helped the owner make sandwiches, salads and soups I also helped with the ordering like if they ordered a small cappuchino, medium soup, and tomato basil sandwich I would take there money make change, make the cappuchino ( owner taught me how to make different coffees that was the fun part ) pour the soup and wrap up the sandwich then put it in a bag and of course thank them for coming!!! :teeth:
I voluteered for my college and job resumes ( had nothing to do with HS )

We have to have 60 volunteer hours to graduate, but I have 473 because for 3 summers in a row I volunteered as a camp counselor at this camp next to my high school - it was SOOOO MUCH FUN because me and my friend Jake did it together all 3 years

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :sunny:
