Does anyone wear Teva sandals?

I just bought my first pair of Teva sandals ( I think they are terril). They are waterproof so I thought they'd be good for WDW in June. However, they feel really stiff. I guess I'm used to my comfy Clarks brand.

I bought these for the arch support, which is good, but will they break in more and feel less stiff? I have to have really good shoes b/c I broke my foot a few years ago and had surgery and my foot is still not healed.

Do you maybe have the Terra sandal? I have these and I don't think they ever really soften up. Great water shoes if you need something with a sturdy sole to protect your feet but they are not soft. I also have a couple of pairs of Teva flip flops and I think they are more comfortable. They might not work for you because they don't have arch support. The sole is a sturdy, lightweight foam. I have severely bad knees and these Teva flip flops have been a real life saver. They are the most comfortable shoe that I have found.

I have a pair of the Tirra Teva sandals and they are so comfortable! I'm not sure if I would use the word stiff to describe them, but they're definitely not soft, like leather. They have never aggravated my skin or caused blisters and I lived in them last summer and then at Disney World in September. They did loosen up some after wearing them, but maybe it's not that they soften up much, rather your feet get used to them?

Yes, I just looked at the box and they say Tirra. I'm afraid to wear flip flops unless I am just walking around my house ( I broke my foot wearing backless sandals). I really need a backing. I wish these had a foamy inside, but so far I can't say my foot hurts yet and I've been wearing them for an hour.

another Teva sandel wearer here.. and Yes I broke my foot year and 1/2 ago..wore my Teva sandels last summer and no problem..

There are quite a few different models or "grades" of Teva's. The cheaper one's do have a different feel (stiffer) than the more expensive ones.

I've got a pair of Keen sandals which I really love...what I like about them is that your toes are protected.

I wear my Teva flip flops all the time. I have worn them in Vegas multiple times and they're the only ones that really tolerate all the walking we do there! I have 3 pair.

I guess b/c they are waterproof they are stiffer? They are $80 sandals which I thought was pretty expensive.

I have Teva Terra Fi & they are the most comfortable shoes I have. I love them. As Steve mentioned, there are different grades and the Terra Fi's at around $80+ are more comfortable then the $35.00 styles. I also totally agree with Brook. I've had the same pair for about 8 years now and I wear them a good part of the year. They are still in great shape even after all of the wear & water rides, beach, rain, etc.

If you look up my profile, half of my posts are about how great Teva's are.:goodvibes You'd think I'm getting commission. ;) Of course, they may not be for everyone, like crocs aren't for everyone, even though many people love them. Are they still popular?

Anyway, good luck with your Teva's, I hope they work out for you.

Do the Terra Fi's have a good arch in them? I just looked at them online and I can't tell but they look comfortable.

I would say they have pretty good arch support. If you are buying them online, perhaps you can find a store that sells them near you, such as The Walking Company. Try them on there first, then buy them online where they may be less expensive.

I see you're from PA. There are several of those stores in the eastern part of the state & Jersey. Even Modell's may have them, although not necessarily Terra Fi's. Actually, I just went to the Teva website & they list different stores in one's area.

I have a pair of teva omniums that I got a couple of years ago. They are not as stiff as some of the other styles. They are super comfy, were great shoes for Disney. Love that they have an enclosed toe. Would totally recommend teva.

I've got the Teva Pretty Rugged in leather. The insole has some give so they kind of mold to your foot. I find that the hard rubber soles are too hard on my ankles.

I love my tevas I have about 4 or 5 pairs and am looking for another. I have one pair that have a toe covering.

I have terrible feet and my feet love teva sandels. I have worn them to the parks and not had any problems.

Good luck

I agree-teva terra Fi are my favorites. Just got a pair on line & they were on sale. Can't wait to break them in for our trip.
