does anyone visit both the water parks in the same trip?

Just wondering if anybody does this. I visit Typhoon Lagoon for the first time last April and had a great time but was wondering if anybody goes to both parks in same trip.

If we do a 6 day trip we will usually spend a half day at each water park. After about a half day my legs are tired of walking up stairs.
My husband surprised me with a quick 1 night trip down with a payer park ticket last week. We went to Typhoon Lagoon that morning, left and ate lunch out of the park, went to Blizzard beach in the afternoon. It was an awesome quick trip!

We did both on our first Disney trip because we wanted to check out each Disney park at least once, so we would know in the future what we liked and didn’t like. Since then, we haven’t done either water park again. Not because we didn’t enjoy them. It just hasn’t worked out. Either there hasn’t been enough time or the weather hasn't cooperated.

The trip where we did both, I was really glad we did. We all thought we’d love BB, but we ended up not caring for it that much and really fell in love with TL instead. Glad we didn’t only do BB.

We also used the water park days as kind of rest days for our feet to break up the park touring. Those days were shorter, we didn’t need to walk as much, and could float around and relax a bit. It was nice to have two “rest” days that still felt productive.

Yes, but our summer trips are over 2 weeks long. We do each water park at least twice, if not 3 times.

In fact, next summer we're doing a 2 week trip without buying main theme ticket parks...we're buying just an AP to just the water parks...$130 each.

We were at WDW this past June and visited both water parks. IMHO I felt that Blizzard had the best slides while Typhoon had the best wave pool. I really don’t think you will go wrong no matter which water park you chose as we had a great time at both. Have fun!

Yes we have, both are great. If you have a long enough stay at WDW it is a great way to unwind a little. The waterparks are so much more relaxing.

When I had my Nephew with me we did an early half day at each, and then did parks later in the day. We both like Typhoon the best.

Yes! If we go during the summer for a week, we definitely carve out time for both water parks! They're both great in their own ways, and have their own strengths/weaknesses. I personally love a good water park day - it can be as relaxing or as packed as you want it to be! Note that during fall-winter, only one water park is open at a time with the other closed for maintenance.

Thanks for this info!!! Do you know if there are any blockout dates for the annual pass in August?

Dan

Yep, we just did so over our recent 10 day trip. I had planned to visit each one twice, but things came up and we only ended up at each once, but they were both so much fun! We actually enjoyed TL more than BB this time. Usually it is the other way around.

We like to get our money's worth lol,so we always Park Hop both the same day to make the most of our tickets.:)

We have done both waterparks in one trip. We wanted to try both out and see which one we like better.

We LOVE TL and go at least once and maybe twice during our trip.

We've done both on multipe trips since I love them both and can't decide. We have not done them in the same day. When we go to BB we like to go to winter summerland.

My understanding is that it doesn't have blocked dates, because they never get close to capacity. We're going to double and triple confirm that, but that's what we're told.

Yes, in years past we used to visit both parks with the old Magic Your Way tickets that included the Water Parks Fun and More option. Now on our last visit (last week) we got the water parks annual pass and went to TL twice and BB once.

I planned two "non-park" days where the water parks were the main plan for the day, which was a nice break as the water parks didn't open until 10 (versus such early days as 7am EMH for Hollywood Studios) and in July the water parks are a wonderful respite to cool off.

We have been to both on the same trip, but we much prefer TL, so now we just do a couple of days there instead of going to BB, too.

Ok, We did this last August 2017.....we flew down for 8 days and JUST did waterparks! Bought the annual pass for DH and I and our kids the night we arrived, NO block out dates. Bounced back and forth between BB and TL and loved every minute! Did both parks three times. Sprinkled character breakfasts here and there and spend a couple of evenings at DS. This year we plan to use up the last two days of our annual pass during our first two days of our trip and then we have a 8 day PH with one water park day to use in the middle of the trip. Kids loved this trip and we had an awesome time. I splurged at the last minute and bought memory maker three days ahead of time and we ended up with over 150 photos from the 6 days at the water parks!

Side note: found BB was absolutely dead on a perfect weather day the third Sunday of August and TL was an absolute mess on the third Tuesday!

Yes, that's pretty much our plan too. We'll be there for a total of 14-17 days (still working out details). We'll do each water park 3 times, so that'll be 6 days. We'll do a few trips to DS, the boardwalk, visit hotels, a few trips to Daytona Beach, go to a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game, go to the NASCAR race at Daytona, or just hang at the rental house.

That sounds like a fantastic vacation! Our family never tired of the water parks and we stayed almost to closing three times! It was nice to pack our lunch too! Have fun!

On a few of our summer trips we did both water parks. We use the military salute tickets and they either come as a hopper or a water parks and more ticket, or both. In the summers we used to opt for the water park and more option and would do two days in the parks, then a break day with half a day at a water park, two days in the parks, then another half day in a water park.
