Does Anyone use Proactiv?

I'm thinking of purchasing Proactiv for my daughters skin. Has anyone used it? Is it worth the money?

I bought it for me and DD. It was a waste of money. It contains the exact same active ingredients as OTC acne medicine. And the stuff comes in such small bottles, that you can't help but use it up really fast.

I'm so glad to see this post. I was getting ready to shell out 40.00 to get it for my DD.

It does work for some people.

My daughter used it for a while, and then it didn't seem to work for her anymore.

I had great success w/ Proactive. I use it sparingly(3x a week), one bottle of the repairing lotion lasts me about 6 months.

DS just got this a week ago. I see an improvement already.,

My SIL and her son both use this with HUGE success. The difference in their skin was dramatic. There's a kiosk in the mall close to their house where you can buy just the lotion so it's much cheaper. I bought a bottle and tried it and I've had so-so results. It seems to be lasting quite a while for me - the little bottle has lasted 6 weeks now (it's about half full) and I use it 2x/day.

I've been using it for years after it was recommended by my dermatologist. I have hormonal flare ups and Proactiv got me off taking a daily antibiotic pill and really cleared up my skin. I also only use the repairing lotion 3-4 times a week because I get too dry, but I use their oil free lotion on the other days.

I heard on the radio today that they are having a 60 free trial.

It did not work for me. It will not work for everyone. I know that my break outs are hormonal and has to be taken care of from the inside out, not just from the outside. The daily oil control is really great at keeping you from getting shiny all day and underneath makeup though!

It worked for a short time for DS, but he eventually ended up on Accutane. DD also tried it, but iw now going to a dermatologist. I think it works if your acne is not too bad. Wal-Mart sells a generic brand that I have heard works just as well and it is half the price.

Thanks for the responses, I'm still not sure if I want to spend that type of money.

She has a perscription from the Dr., at first it helped, but it doesn't seem to anymore. I wish they had a less expensive trial size. I didn't see anything on the website about 60 days free trial.

It didn't work for my DS either. I bought from QVC---they have a 30 day money back guarentee. He tried it and didn't have any success with it so we sent it back. He ended up on Accutane.
