Do you have any problems with it? Easy to use? My niece wants me to download this(she says its free) so we can IM instead of email.

When I try to download a screen pops up asking if I want to "RUN" or "SAVE,
what do I click?

Been using it for years now since it became free. No problems here either :)

I do prefer MSN though for the smilies ;) Even better was yahoo, but AIM is perfectly fine as well!

I use Trillian to run AIM and I like it so much better than AOL.

I love AIM! It is very easy to use...but be careful, it can get addicting!

everytime I try to enter a password,it says invalid password!
I finally gave up!

I run all three! I do perfer Yahoo and MSN though I like to be able to log in as invisible or not online, that way if I see someone online and I don't feel like chatting they don't know I am online..........sometimes these things can be a PITA especially when you are busy doing other things online and these people have little or nothing to say but just want to chat! I have no problems with any of them.

AIM has a feature where you can be invisible. There is an eye in the corner of the buddy list and if you click on it, so the eye looks shut it makes you invisible.

As to the OP, I'm not sure why its telling you that you have an invalid password. I've never heard of that before. Though AIM did just come out with a completely new version, so maybe that has something to do with it. Good luck!

I couldn't sign in,because I didn't register first! So,I registered and downloaded AIM. I didn't like it. So,I uninstalled it. Now I can't get the AIM home page off the screen. How do I get rid of it? I want ComCast to be what I see when I go online.

You need to sign up for a user id. ONce you have done that you should not have problems logging in. Also be sure to use your correct email address because if I remember correctly it does validate it by sending an email

Yahoo messanger also has this feature with the added benefit of being able to select who you are invisible to. NIce when you only want to be visible to a single person or a certain group of friends.

Trillian can run all three programs at the same time. You will have the option to be invisible on some, none or all of the various IM services you use. Trillian can also automatically log your conversations if you want.

....I DON'T want AIM. I changed my mind. Now I can't get rid of the Aim HomePage!!
