Does anyone think they'll be canceling GF 10/5 or 10/6 with the code??

I called but the rooms are all gone with the code. My daughter really wanted to stay ther as a graduation celebration. Does anyone think they'll be canceling? I would really appreciate a heads up! Thanks!

Even if they did, chance of you getting that is slim. When a discounted room gets canceled, it goes back into inventory at rack rate at first.. at least that is how they explained it to me.

All you can do is call everyday to see if there is anything. If you are talking about the pin code rate, that must be booked by March 15th I think too...

I had a CM tell me the same thing about the discounted rooms going back at rack rate when cancelled. That's why I gave up on getting my savannah view at AKL and went with the WL.

That's odd because I was able to book AKL savannah view today! I took what I could get but am still hoping for GF since that's what she wants. I think I'll keep trying until March 15th anyway.

That is so weird! I've been calling daily for several days with no luck. Savannah view wasn't even available on the website without the code.

It is a matter of luck getting the room. If someone cancels today, it will not go back into the dicounted inventory today. If someone got a discounted room today, chances are slim the cancelation was from today...
I have been on the phone with a CM ready to book a room & by the time they hit that button, the room was gone.. so as I said, sometimes it is just luck unless there happens to be many rooms available.. then that is a different story. If I were to call & cancel my room now, what do you think the chance would be of you calling to get my room as I called & canceled.. very very slim... hundreds of people call CRO for rooms all the time.. I am not being mean by saying this, but just realistic....

I see savannah view is now back on the website. I wonder what the deal was?

I feel a little bummed now because I know my 8 year old wanted the savannah view at AKL, but it wasn't available for our June dates with the code. We booked a courtyard view at the WL...so now he's looking forward to swimming with the ducks.

Take comfort in the fact that eight year olds are easily swayed, especially with bribing if necessary! 16 year old girls - not so much! I'll be "realistic" but still hopeful! That's how all my Disney trips are!

here is some pixie dust for you to get that room.. I can relate to bringing teens If you call everyday, you may just get a room there, but to get a discount can be hard. Are you an AP holder? If so, you can book at rack rate, watch for the AP rates to be released.. the day they are released call & see if they will just switch your rate

I agree with you. Nick is really excited now about the WL. We'll book early next year for a savannah view. Who knows, he may love the WL and want to stay there again.

I'm crossing my fingers that you get the room you want at GF. My 15 year old DD wants to stay there too. Keep trying every morning at 7:00am. One CM told me that the discount rates don't go back in the system at the discount rate...but I called again yesterday and the CM told me they do and to keep calling back. Now, we're excited about the WL...but want two queen beds instead of bunk beds.

For some reason 10 days is coming to my mind... it might go back into the system as a regular rate for 10 days then back to discounted.. I am not sure.. I do know that it doesn't go directly back at discounted.. at least they never use to. I was a CM at TDS many years ago. We were told that if we weren't sure we actually were going to go, not to book that room with our Cast discount. If we canceled it, it would not go back into the system as a discounted room. Even the CM discounts are subjected to availabilty if you wanted the better discount. As I said, that was many years ago....
not sure how many CM's out there reading this, but if any, can you confirm this??
