Does anyone still miss "if you had wings" in the MK?

I don't know why, but that was always the last ride me and my sister would ride before we left the MK when we were kids! It was a silly ride, but be loved it!!

Me too! Dsis and I would ride that and the wedway...when it was still wedway....100 times! As much as I like Buzz I miss "If you had Wings".
My DF just found one of the activity bags that Eastern used to give out on the plane to kids flying to MCO. It bought back so many memories! I hid it from DS in case it becomes a collectible one day LOL

My brother and I used to have the same tradition. I still catch myself humming that song sometimes

I never got to go on it when it was If You Had Wings, but I miss Delta Dream Flight. It was the first ride I ever went on at WDW and there was a suitcase in one of the scenes that had my initials on it, M.E.B. I always felt special whenever I saw it.

I miss it too! The fact that it was free and didn't require a letter ticket enabled us to enjoy it even more!! I loved the cheezy shots of vacationers! When Florida Radio Project used to have a channel on Live 365, I would often hear the long version of that song.

I got it on DVD from an extinct attractions site. It's great to listen to the music and see the ride all over again. Not as good as being there in person but it's the only way to see it now. On the DVD is also Delta Dream flight. If anyone wants the internet address PM me.

Loved the song. Parts of the ride were interesting too. But in general it was just a nice place to get in out of the heat/humidity for a while.

So I didn't imagine that I rode that ride when I went to WDW as a kid! The only thing I really remember is the take-off at the end, but remember it I do. I don't remember the song though.

I also recall some spaceship sort of ride. It was in the round and the seats shook and I think it was sort of like a planetarium inside.

Intenseblue98 - That was Mission To Mars.

I still pine for "If You Had Wings" - especially the Caribbean scene near the beginning and I LOVED the takeoff at the end. I really don't know what it was about such a basically boring ride (at least in comparison to everything else), but I certainly do miss it!
