She's right! It was King Stefan and Lady somebody presiding over a banquet. Don't know if it was all you could eat or not. Just remember looking up at the castle with the dining hall all lit up and wishing we could eat there.

Even saw the King and his lady standing by the castle once. That was in 1977! People used to line up early for this meal.

THANK YOU!!! I am so relieved!! I KNEW I remembered it. He used to give orders to everyone right?

Samantha, you are a stitch! Well, I guess I show MY age with that term but so be it. I'm glad your memories have been validated for you. Other than an imposing King Stefan do you remember if the food was good and what was on the buffet? Our first try there left my husband so unimpressed that he still only orders soup! That was probably 1983-85 ish. But the rest of us really enjoy it these days.

Adjoining rooms in that "home" with fellow DISers would be fun. Think of the memories!

I ate at King Stefan's several times in the 80's and 90's.
Dont rember him being there, but do remember something about shrimp

You said Stitch (gasp) . I say that too!! You must be old like me!!! You don't know how glad I am that someone else remembers the silly thing! I thought I might be having an "episode". ( That's what we call them in my house).
I remember not liking the food. I really didn't like the whole experience very much. I think I had chicken. Mind you I weighed about 70 pounds, was the pickiest teen and I had just received a visit from a "friend" for the first time on that trip. Now that I think of it, how did I get bitten by the WDW bug? That trip totally sucked!

Sorry but I don't know anything about him giving orders or not. Didn't ever get to eat there! But I sure did wish to.

I still haven't eaten in the castle yet. Maybe next trip. But I definitely did see King Stefan and a Lady all dressed up and ready to enter the castle. Of course that was ages ago...
