Just wondering how many older Disney people out remember the old Disney Movies especially from T.V. ? For example The Legend of Lobo, Davey Crocket at the Alamo, Johnny Shiloh(my personal favorite), etc. Also the theatrical ones too, like 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Pete's Dragon & Old Yeller. See how many you can remember!

Some of the older movies I remember are:

Pete's Dragon (Like you)
The Apple Dumpling Gang
The Apple Dumpling Gang Ride's Again
Tron (First version)
And I'm sure one of everybody's favorite: Mary Poppins.

Now you're talkin' I remember my Father (RIP) taking me to the movies to see Mary Poppins. Also Darby O'Gill changed the whole personna of leprechauns. Until that movie came out they were thought of as mean & evil little people.

Pollyanna was a favorite of mine. There was also Parent Trap, all those Herbie movies, the Incredible Journey, That Darn Cat, the Gnome-mobile, the absent minded professor, Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Freaky Friday

There are too many fine movies for me to list. But if I had to pick favorites, would be Song of the South and 20,000 Leagues.

I started watching Disney movies in 1953, when I saw Peter Pan at a theatre in Pensacloa Florida. I've seen just about every one thereafter (when Walt was in charge) and most all the others as well, up until they broke off into Touchstone and all that.

As for TV--I was glued to the set for the SECOND ever episode--in 1954 Alice in Wonderland. I watched almost all the rest faithfully for many years. Including probably 99% of all the Mickey Mouse Club shows!

And yes--I AM old--66 to be exact!!

Oh yes I remember the "older movies" appearing at the downtown movie theater in New Orleans. I distinctly remember seeing Cinderella, Dumbo, Song of the South, Snow White. At the theaters, eons ago, they also sold yellow vinyl or plastic Disney records with songs from the movie that was showing. We were really excited if my aunt, who was also my darling Godmother, bought the record for us. I know there were more movies in that long-ago time frame but I cannot remember which ones.

A sweet, sweet memory ...

The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Monkey's Uncle, Run Appaploosa, Run, Thomasina, Son of Flubber, Charlie the Lonesome Cougar

Gosh, I loved Saturday matinees at the neighborhood theater! 50 cents admission for a double feature! (back in the 60s)

I love the old Disney movies. A couple of my favorites are Those Calloways and The Third Man on the Mountain.

I loved (and still do love) bedknobs and Broomsticks. I also like Song of the South and Mary Poppins.

I wasn't around when the 'older' movies were so it's nice to watch them and not feel like I've missed out. :goodvibes

one of my favorites is "Song of the South" still have it. remember it playing 1 summer in Keene N.H. around 1967 or so
