Hoppin Poppies? It had these little different colored guys with springs attached to them. You'd squish them down and in a short time, they would pop up.

I KNOW this game existed, I used to play it with my cousins all the time. I surfed the web looking for it, and can't find it, to prove to DD I'm not going crazy.

If you remember it, please stand up and be counted. :D

I have not heard of it, But DH found a game he was looking for on ebay from the same time period. Good luck!

Nope. Not on yesterdayland.com

But someone must remember this game. I wish I could draw a picture of a hoppin poppy and post it. That might spark someone's memory. They also came with a board, that if I recall, was made out of plastic sheeting (no, don't board up your house with hoppin poppie boards, it won't keep out the biohazards).

This is going to drive me nuts. ;)

I remember what you described, but I don't remember it being a game. I thought it was just a toy, like a spinning top or something. (Of course, take my recollection of it for what it's worth! lol)

They looked like little mushrooms, with faces on them. The "stem" of the mushroom was a spring. You'd push the top of the "mushroom" down. They'd stay down for a little while, then they would pop up.

There were a whole bunch of them per game. They were different colors.

Oh, I'm beginning to believe it wasn't just plain Kool-Aid my mom was feeding to me back then...;)

I REMEMBER, I HAD THAT GAME!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
I had completely forgotten about it until I read your post.:) My mom hated it because we put the little guys all over the house.:)
Our favourite thing to do was to push them all down then put them in the box and listen to them go crazy.:p (Okay, I was easily amused as a child!!)

OMG!!!!!! Flashback city!!!:p :p :p :p
I remember you had to get the pieces to build your little guy.
I want to be 8 years old again and play all my games.

Did anybody else have a Beat The Clock board game?

Ha ha! I know Creeple People, Shrinky Dinks and Little Kiddles, but not Poppin Hoppies. :p
