Does anyone realize what 80K members means?

I am not in construction, an accountant here, but $250 - $500 seems awfully high for even the accomodations at SSR. My husband and I live in a luxury high rise apartment that has just gone condo and the average price per square foot for sale was $300. Even for the penthouse units.

We have many of the same amenities that SSR would have; granite countertops, jacuzzi tubs, wood/ceramic/marble floors, surround sound, a grand salon, cigar lounge, billiards room, 6th floor rooftop pool, etc.

Question... Does one member = one person or one family or one contract? Do DW and I equate to 1 or 2 members. We have 2 contracts so does that meam we're 4 members???

While there is some variation, the "number" of members is based on unique owners. My DW and I own 4 contracts and are counted as 1 member of the 85,000. If I owned one myself and she owned three, they would likely count us as 2 owners.

DVC has tried to condense the membership to minimize duplicate mailings (we often receive 4 mailings of everything), but it has been a challenge to make sure that no members are excluded while they prune the lists.

At this point, I'd trust that the 85,000 member number is fairly close to the number of contracts owned by individuals/families.

Enjoy!
