What are they like? I've heard they are expensive, but well built. How well do you like them??

My best friend is on his 2nd Hi-Lo, both of which I found on the net. His first was a 22 foot and now he has a 31 footer. Pulls it with his 2006 Dodge Ram with the 5.9 Cummins. Last 2 years he, his wife and Catahoula dog have gone up north for the summer. The truck averages 16+mpg over the entire trip.

He is very happy with it even though it is a 1994. The newer ones are built better and are worth considering even though the price might seem a little high.

I think the biggest built now is 28 feet. I have heard that they tow like a pop up and easy on the mileage. Raise in seconds and you are ready to camp.

we have a 2506C and just took it on a trip thru Santa Fe, NM and up to
Colorado thru the mountains. We have a F-150 and it worked up the
mountains but would maybe go for a F-250 v10. Coming back thru western
Kansas we were doing 70-75 mph avg 13 mpg. They are a little more money
but really well built which I think is really important considering the up
and down aspect. We bought ours in '07 even though it is a '06 model it was
brand new and we got a really good deal. I saw a used one advertised in Florida, except same model and year and they were asking about what we
paid. They seem to hold their re-sale value as long as they're kept up OK.

A fellow we know loves his Hi-Lo,,says he goes thru a lot of coffee pots over the years tho.
