Does anyone own a Care Credit - Credit Card?

DH got Care Credit when he had to have major dental work and it was a lifesaver. I also used it when I had dental surgery and it definitely takes the pressure off.

Also my dental office told me to check the math on the payments to make sure that you will be paying the total due before the due date. I always try to pay more than the minimum each month so it's paid off early.

Paying mine off this month after needing two root canals. We didn't have the money saved for this, so it was a lifesaver for us. Just hoping we won't need it again in the near future.:)

I used it last fall when I needed to purchase new hearing aids. HA's aren't covered under most insurance because they are for fun, not necessity you know! :rolleyes2

My plan is 0% for a year. I took the total and divided by 12 and that is the amount I pay per month. It is well over the minimum. I keep the money in my savings account and have the auto pay set up so I don't forget. I have no complaints.

That's exactly what we did for my mom's hearing aids. We made sure that payment was ALWAYS on time and paid IN FULL the month before the interest hit.

We used care credit for our dog's chemo a couple years ago. We had a year of no interest, it worked out great for us. I would absolutely recommend it as long as you are careful to pay the balance within the promotional period.

Yes we had a cat who needed emergency surgery. We applied for the card and use it when big expenses come up for them or us. One year I got my glasses and contacts on it then paid it off when my fsa reimbursed me.

My daughter now needs some orthodontics work done. This card will be used for sure now.
Thank you all and I will be sure to watch the dates.

My dh had the card for some devtal work. Of course we were on track to pay it off in time but got caught at the end because payment date was five days after the end of the promo period. I think they do this intentionally.

Anyhow... How does it work if we use it again? Is there an interest free period, or will it work like a regular credit card? If so, I will use either my Disney or Southwest VISA. Both have lower interest rates and rewards!
