We're going to be there opening week pretty much (June 18th-23) Should be insane!
*edited to add* Well opening week of the NEW DCA. We did WOC (Amazing I liked it better than Fantasmic) and Little Mermaid last year.

We're from Montreal Quebec and we love Disneyland. We went in 2008 and 2010and hopefully will be heading back in Dec 2012. We usually manage to find cheap plane tickets leaving from Burlington, Alabany or Syracuse and stay at the Hojo at the Entertainment rate of $60-70 a night. A real bargain! Just love the fact that you can walk to the parks....makes it SO much easier. With the cheaper park tickets and the cheap food options on Harbour blvd, etc, it usually comes up being cheaper than a WDW trip although WDW is way closer for us!!!! :thumbsup2

:wave2:So happy there are DL fans on this board. Our first Disney trip was in 2010 and I was bitten by the Disney bug. I usually spend a couple of hours every evening reading and researching Disneyland.I love to plan imaginary trips as well...just to see how cheap I could go....if I had time.

This is totally me!!:rotfl: Our first trip was in 2010 as well and we can't wait to go back! We plan to go in July 2013 and my boys will be 13 then:faint:
We have thought about WDW but DL seems to be a little cheaper and less hot and humid!:cool2: We aren't much good in the heat - you know, being from Alberta and all, we don't get too much of it here! We are planning on driving next time and hope it will end up being a good budget trip which, of course, has increased my time on the DIS!!:surfweb:

Another living in Alberta here!! :wave2:

We went in April 2010 - our son was only 3 at the time and our daughter turned 10 while there :) We did 2 1/2 days and I dreamed for more.... then we couldn't resist and went again just this past October :goodvibes

What an amazing time! Went for a full 6 days and loved every minute of it!

We are planning something big for 2014 but don't know what yet :confused3 but we know it will be BIG :goodvibes DD2 will be near to 4 years old at that time so we want to make a big deal of it all - I'd like to go in October-time again as the Halloween party was AWESOME!!

:cheer2:

I am going to DL in Oct for the first time in about 15 years. can't wait!

I would love to hear about your drive from Edmonton to DL next year.We will most likely only go in February and there is no way I am doing that drive in Feb:scared1:

I bought an annual pass and I am going next week, first week of Oct and first week of Dec.

We're thinking of next summer! I would love to hear others experiences with summer crowds. DD 15 and her friend really really want to go to Vidcon so we thought we'd combine the trip to go to Disneyland as well. I am expecting busy but would love to hear about it:)

We are from BC and we love DL :)

We did visit the World in March of 2011, but our hearts are in the land :cheer2:

Not sure when the next visit will be, it does seem so long since February of 2011...

Just wanted to tell you all to come read my first Disneyland trip trip report! :rotfl: It's in my signature. Plenty of pictures!

Just a heads up for anyone planning a trip that tickets prices go up for Disneyland on Sunday, and for some tickets they go up dramatically (AP's mostly) so if you are planning to go you might want to order your tickets for Disneyland tomorrow!

We also are from the west and love going to Disneyland. We usually go at least once a year. This year we will be visiting in early October to celebrate Halloween.

We went to Disneyworld in December 2010 for the first time and although it was a great trip, I found Disneyland to be easier to get around in, while still having much of the same rides and attractions. Like a PP stated "our hearts" remain with DL.

We're heading to Disneyland Paris in July for the first time. We'll see how they both compare!

Flight Centre has a deal on the DL park hoppers! Deal ends tomorrow and I believe the tickets expire at the end of October.

4day-$220 adult /$203 child and includes taxes and fees for all tickets.
5day-$224 adult /$206 child
6day-$229 adult /$211 child

In my circle on the westcoast those with kids under 9 do DL mostly because it's easier, cheaper for the experience and not so hard on the kids. (Hard meaning with the time change, travel distance and then the sheer magnitude of WDW and DL is not quite so overwhelming) We do WDW with the kids over 9. Having said that, I am taking my 4 year old to WDW this year after cancelling a planned trip to DL. We are taking our DD16 and DD18 for one last family trip before they fly the coop only because we got a fantstic deal on pacakge, flights and free dining. It will be interesting balancing the age difference. However, I do love both for different reasons. If I get to choose I choose WDW everytime because of the Destination Vaction and all of the restaruants.

California adventure was built. We have a wedding to attend in Diamond Bar, CA and are taking our DD3 for her first visit. I see us going more now that she is older and I would love to take her to WDW at some point as I have never been.
