Does anyone on this board go to Disneyland?

My last trip to DL was in 2007. I will be going to DL this year.

who do you go through to get prices like that? we are thinking of taking my niece and nephew in the summer and i am looking for deals right now

We have to drive an extra 2 1/2 hrs to Seattle to get the 740 flight...had I booked 4 days earlier it would have been 40 less...and we got the retro rate with the entertainment card at the HOJO, so 59 dollars a night! We weren't even
Planning a trip, but ran into these prices and couldn't resist, especially with enought airmiles for free passes :)

Another Albertan here - we are doing both Disneyworld and Disneyland this year. We are doing 5 days at Disneyworld in August with a 4 day Bahama's cruise, then going over a long weekend, we are doing 5 days at Disneyland in November.

The flight is booked for the November trip but I am still waiting for flight deals for August. Everything else is booked and paid for - lol.

Airmiles makes all the difference to being able to afford Disney - getting the tickets for free is awesome.

I love both Disneyworld and Disneyland - I am especially excited to check out Carsland and see the Aladdin show. To me, the Aladdin show alone is worth going to Disneyland.

:wave2:So happy there are DL fans on this board. Our first Disney trip was in 2010 and I was bitten by the Disney bug. I usually spend a couple of hours every evening reading and researching Disneyland.I love to plan imaginary trips as well...just to see how cheap I could go....if I had time.
So the reason for my original post was because I am always coming across amazing deals and I would post them on this board but I thought everyone was going to Florida;)
So...I will post any great deals I find on here and hopefully someone can benefit from my never ending quest for the best deals for Disneyland.:surfweb:

I love DL but I haven't been to WDW in so long it was time to make a trip. Maybe next year or the year after to go see cars land

From Ontario here as well! Went to WDW a few times, and finally checking out DL in just about 2 weeks! Can't wait :)

How was your lunch in February? I loved the pics on the Lilybell.

Our lunch was great, I liked it I hope others did. Having Dave Smith join us was the highlight so the club took a back seat. I am not on the dis very often so I don't know if anyone offered a trip report.

When are you going next?

We go to disneyland every year. The thing I love about disneyland is the history. I love that its Walts park. I really enjoy how its so close together and easy to access. We are headed down again for my 33 birthday this summer. Actually, I have never been there on my birthday, and my dream has been to go to club33 on my 33 birthday.
Anyways, we were looking at pics of disneyland from when I was a kid, and it just looks exactly the same, its like going home for me.

I didn't see a TR.We are going next feb1-11.Although I think we will fly in on the 31st of jan and stay at PVI.We are renting a studio villa for 10 nights so I want to be at the desk at GCH first thing in the morning for check-in.I can't wait to go back:love:

I visit this board frequently but never see many posts about DL. Are you all east coasters?(east of Manitoba that is):cool2:

We don't *typically* go to DisneyLand, but we made a trip down there last year (March 2011). LOVED it.

We are from Vancouver and we used to go to DL almost every year. However, I think 2011 may be the last time we would be doing it for a while. We are getting more into WDW now that our kids are much older and we like to venture out further. Orlando seems to have more of a resort feel to it, plus we can also combine our vacation with a cruise to the Caribbean.

However, you cannot beat DL and San Diego for a pretty cheap vacation. In March 2011, we did DL and SD for $2200 for a week for 4 people. $59 one-way flights out of Seattle, $139 car rental for the week, a great deal at the Sheraton through getawaytoday.com, and 3 out of 4 of our DL passes were free through Airmiles. Breakfasts were included with the hotel, and we also used coupons from Mimis Café.

From Calgary (39, DW 35 and DD 8).

In the last 4 years, we have taken 4 trips to DL, 1 to WDW and 1 WDW cruise out of FL (oh yeah, we also bought into DVC and have another DL trip booked at the end of September). We normally go down for 12-14 days, spending 5-7 at DL and the rest in San Diego (love that city...).

With seat sales, it's not that much more expensive to fly to FL than CA, but we really, really prefer DL (if we wanted to spend 30 minutes riding a bus, we'd just stay home and take the bus downtown, like we do every day).

Club33forme - if you happen to be planning another Canadian Day at Club 33 some time between Sept 22 and Oct 3, I would love to take my family. Unfortunately we missed being able to come to the February lunch by a few days. If it helps, I like to consider myself an honorary Saskatchewanian (graduated from the U of S law school '97, and I even cheer for the Riders... although I've never put a hollowed out watermelon on my head).

We will be in DL sept 26-oct2 found flights out of calgary for 311 all taxes included a few weeks ago!

We really enjoy both. DL because its closer this will be the 3rd time going there in 5 yrs, and we have done WDW 4 times now. We like the dining options (for us its a great deal when its free dining since our boys are big eaters!). So far we are paying about the same price for DL as we have in the past for WDW.

I went to Disneyland for the first time in August, I did the backstage magic tour with Adventures by Disney. It was great, loved it. We are going back next summer. It's so intimate and sweet. I actually think I prefer much of it to Disneyword, don't get me wrong I love Disneyworld but Disneyland is where it all began.

Maddysdaddy, we might be at the land mid to late Oct, send me a picture with a watermelon helmet head and you might be dining at the club sooner than you think.

As for the original post our plan is July, Oct, Jan 2013 perhaps April 2013 but not Feb next year. Going to try a summer Canadian Club 33 day for a change.

For some reason or another we end up in California a lot so everytime, I try to squeeze DL into it even though WDW is closer.

And Canadian Club 33 Day is not to be missed. :thumbsup2 I'm grateful that it was offered and the timing was perfect.
