Does anyone on this board go to Disneyland?

I visit this board frequently but never see many posts about DL. Are you all east coasters?(east of Manitoba that is)

There's lots of people from the west that go to DL. I have been twice in recent years. We go to San Diego every year and ususally spend a few days in Anaheim not at DL tho. We've done most stuff there is to do.

DS15 is not thrilled with DL so we've done other fun stuff. Dave & Busters at the Block, Long Beach Aquarium, whale watching, Legoland (tho it's been a couple of years), K1 Speed (Go carts), Catalina Island, Knotts, and DTD.

We're going to DL this summer . It will be our daughter's first trip. We haven't been for 10+ years.

Disneyland is great. It is closer for us here in the west and thus quite a bit cheaper. I am planning another trip there in the near future However, that being said, I love WDW! I am looking forward to going to DL but I long to go back to WDW.

Yes, we've been to Disneyland but I prefer Disney World because we tend to prefer destination vacations where we stay for a week at a time or more. WDW fits the bill here far better than DL.

And to be honest, even though it's closer and a bit cheaper, I just find it easier to fly to Orlando, turn my mind off and let Disney take care of everything for the whole time we're all there.

Same here! Have been to WDW 5 times and are trying Disneyland for the first time ever this December. If you're there 2nd week we should have a DISBoards Canadian meet up!

I'm from BC. We've been to Disneyland many times. Going again this Dec. We also have a trip to Disneyworld planned for Oct 2013 too. We're now DVC members so we'll be doing Disney vacations forever!

We're planning on mixing it up with different times of the year, different experiences, bringing different friends/family with us, different Disneys. We're even hoping to try Disneyland Paris and Disney Hong Kong too. We think each park and trip is unique and just enjoy it for what it is, and the great memories we have there.

I from Vancouver and i have been to DL about 13 times now.. and we are planning on going again in the summer.


we just got back from WDW in Feb for your honeymoon, but for use WDW is alot more expensive because of the travel costs..

i can always find cheap flights down to California so a weekend trip down there is alot more easy

We leave for Disneyland in 27 days ....we are in bc so it is much cheaper for us to travel to Disneyland over the world...we did DW in 04 and we loved it but my kids prefer DL! They have said they would love to do DW again just for the waterparks! We do lots of other stuff when we go to disneyland and always go for 10 nights...this trip, we got our flights for 4 and 10 nights at the HOJO for 1450 Canadian...I just can't beat the price...and the bonus, all our Disney and universal studio passes free with airmiles so it is truly low cost trip

I think we have gone to DL 4 or 5 times now. We usually tack it on with another trip. We have done with twice with Vegas, twice with Maui and then last year we did 5 days all DL.

We are going to DL for 5 days on our way home from Hawaii in June. We love DL it has a lot of things WDW doesn't have and it's a totally different experience from WDW.

Our flights to California are only about $300 then going to WDW this year since Orlando airfare has skyrocketed this year.

I live in NB. We have been to Disneyland twice - once in Nov 2010 and again this past January 2012. In 2010 DH won an incentive trip to CA through his work so we went a few days early and went to Disney. This past January, we wanted to go on a Disney Cruise, and it was cheaper for us to sail out of California then it was to sail out of Florida.

I liked Disneyland, but I definitely prefer WDW.

NBers here too. We've been to WDW 3 times and would like to see DL. Almost went this March. I imagine the crowds at chrismas are insane(they were in WDW for 1 of our trips). Is the weather too cool or dreary at this time of year?

My family definitely does DL as we live on the west coast. We have been alternating trips steepen DL and WDW the last few years. Owning DVC on both coasts means we will always have a nice place to stay.

This year we went to WDW in Jan for the marathon and DW and I will head to DL labour day weekend for the Disneyland Half Marathon.
