Does anyone not use a Touring Plan?

No touring plan here either. I research and know what day I'm going to each park and what rides/FP to hit first but go with the flow. It's not much of a vacation to us if there is too much structure.

Not one for using touring plans either. I just wing it when I'm in the parks.

Not us either ! I have our daily "what park we're going to" schedule along w/ our adr's, but to plan which ride at which time ? no..... I don't want to be on a "you're GOING to have fun or else" kind of schedule....:rotfl2: and then what ? someone has an unauthorized pee break and it all goes down the proverbial planning toilet ? :lmao: for us, we'll just wing it in the parks.

( we do try to get fass passes for the popular rides though....that's about as much fore thought that goes into what ride and when) :goodvibes

We don't use touring plans, we don't make our own touring plan. We kind of decide what we want to do day to day. We do enjoy the lunch at LTT in the MK so that's usually our only ADR and will obviously be a MK day but that's about it.

We don't use touring plans either. We enter the park and we know which attractions are most important to us...we get those done and after that it's a free for all. Our trip next month is 7 nights....we've planned on which days we will be in any given park, based on EMH, but left 1 day open to do whatever...maybe hang around the resort. We only have 2 ADRs scheduled, one for breakfast and one for dinner on our last night.

This trip is without kids so it's going to be a relaxing vacation

I tried making a touring plan once....after 1 day..it got tossed out

The only touring plan my family does is basing what park we go to on ADR's and Evening EMH. I have a basic idea of what rides I can walk on, what rides I might not need a fastpass for, and what rides I will need to grab a fastpass for. Things happen while down there, either a ride is shut down/refurbishing, someone gets sick, and/or my little sister demands she rides something as soon as she sees it, and it really is next to impossible to really follow a touring plan to its entire extent with the conditions above.

We go commando starting at RD. We go to whatever park is offering evening EMH. We make only 1 ADR (if that) for the trip. We tried hopping last time, but won't do that again. We ride every attraction at least once. Sometimes we use FP, sometimes not. We don't wait in line more than 20 minutes. We aren't on the dining plan & we don't rent a car. I plan ahead somewhat & we have a game plan, but it can vary as needed.

From what I have read here, we don't follow any of the recommended touring plans. :rotfl:

I plan ADRs, which parks I'm going to on which days, and approximately what time I plan to hop.

I'm not the type that says "first we'll go to dumbo, next we'll go to peter pan, then we'll..."

We'll be there next week. We have a few ADR for dinners set up. Once we get into the parks (at RD of course, the kids are 7 and 4 so they'll certainly be up and ready to go) we'll do what they want to do pretty much.

my family would never go for a specific touring plan. we do research and plan which park for which day. we also usually have a plan of attack for when we first get to a park. but once we're past that, we are more "go with the flow" in our touring style. we've managed to see everything we want to and ridden our favorites multiple times every trip.

I didn't plan at all, with 3 kids under 5 planning would lead to stress... we're going with the flow 24/7. :rotfl:

I'll plan out which parks to go to on which days based on crowd levels/ADRs, and DH and I will decide which headlining rides we need to do first based on experience. We are both firm believers in being at the parks for rope drop, as well, to beat the crowds. However, I feel like a full-on touring plan is too rigid and takes away the magic of WDW! It's impossible to predict everything that will happen during your days in the parks and having too much set in stone, I feel, can only lead to disappointment. I've found that having the first few rides of the day planned out is all I really need to fit in everything I want to see and then some.

We are going for our first trip in just a few weeks. I have narrowed down what park at what time of day- trying to take advantage of the early morning EMH. But, with kids I know it will not go completely as planned so we are playing it by ear too.

I made a mini planning sheet with our ADR numbers and our hotel confirmation numbers for the drive down. This is more for me so it's all in one place :).

We don't use the ones found online, but we kind of make our own, just so we have some sort of plan for the day. It's hard to stay on schedule, and we don't stress ourselves out to maintain it either.

Never used one and really haven't thought to;)I love doing research through these Boards and feel fully prepared for our annual trip from all the knowledgable disboarder comments. Using EMHs and FPs and armed with full ADRs for dining, we do just fine. I guess we don't want to get over-scheduled while at WDW :thumbsup2

I used a touring plan this past trip which was my husband's first time ever, and I thought it was to be our only trip so I wanted to hit all the highlights and best of Disney in each park. With my upcoming trip with Mom, it's just the two of us and neither of us ride thrill rides and we don't have little ones in tow, so we can skip the ones geared to the younger set as well. All I have set is dining reservations for dinner and a couple of lunches in the parks.

I don't make a plan. I could never stick to one:rotfl2: I'm not that regimented. My last couple trips with my mom, we just wing it. Right down to dining. Every restaurant, we just walked in and ate....had no idea what an ADR was....didn't know you had to do that in Disney.

Until I found the DIS, now I am on here constantly...lurking and searching and 'planning'. The only thing we have set is our dining. I have our ADR's cause the DIS says I need them:worship: But, we will get up...and if we feel like going to MK with an ADR at HS that eve, that's what we're gonna do:) We don't do touring plans. Wing it:cool1:

Its nice to have a plan as to what days to do what parks..But beyond that..figure out which ride or rides you may want to do more than once..(IF going during busy season)..And get a Fastpass for that ride(s)..and go thru standby line after getting FP so you can go on it twice. I have always planned because I have always gone during Xmas. But if not going at busy time..just relax and enjoy your trip. And dont buy that tour guide mike. NOt worth it ..just saying...Have a magical trip...86 days and counting ..going during off peak time. I may not know what to do.

We only get to go every three years so we like to ride everything as much as possible. We use a plan (not times just rides in an order) I generally use the touring plans fantasyland tours in the AM and then make more of an ordered touring with adults running for fast passes. I like that there is no arguing or whining about what to do next and everyone is confident that their rides are on the list. I think if I went more often or was an AP holder it wouldn't be as important.
