So I just watched his interview on the Today Show. I honestly think this man is mentally insane. Does he honestly believe that the entire Sheriff's department is just out to get him?

I really think this guy needs some professional help. I feel so bad for the kids because they are going to be the ones that suffer

I don't believe his new story, but then again, I was the one from day one during the media coverage when they were chasing the balloon telling my husband there was no way a boy was in there. I guess I'm not a trusting person.

The media needs to drop this! Ignore this man and his family. This is not news. Put it on Entertainment Tonight maybe.

His interview was a joke. The fact that he stated flat out that the sherriff's department was lying. Isn't he the pot calling the kettle black. The "video" they made is terrible. The voices or "acting" were beyond fake. They sounded scripted and rehearsed. Plus he wasn't too thrilled to be reminded that his wife (whom doesn't want to be deported) spilled the truth, which he says is a lie. That she doesn't understand the word hoax. Hmmm....

Guilty, and end the 15 minutes of fame. Waste of our time and news coverage.

I feel for his wife. It was she whom first told the authorities that it was, in fact, a hoax (a fact that Richard is now ignoring).

I imagine that by making these latest statements he has doomed any chance of an early release.

I hope he got some kind of compensation from the Today show for that interview.
when he was found guilty of deceiting the country he was given 90 days in jail and he can't make any money from the event for the next 4 years.
So if he was given any compensation he will be found guilty of not following his judgement and might get more time. He does deserve more than 90 days for what he put the county and that sheriff's department through.

I totally agree!! I have seen 4 year olds in plays that act better than that!
