Does anyone NOT take a break during the day?

We rarely take breaks and we have small children! Usually the youngest naps in the stroller, though, so we don't have to worry about toddler burnout. For the 2 older ones, we just play it by ear. Sometimes we will go back to the resort around 4 or so to shower and change for dinner, but often we will keep right on going especially if we are at EPCOT or MGM and plan to have dinner in the park. I'm always surprised by how much stamina my kids have...DH gets exhausted before they do. I think it's just all the excitement and adrenalin that keeps them going strong. However, once we get back to the room they crash.

We aren't break-takers, either. DS (18 mos first trip, 2 last two trips, will be 2 1/2 for September trip) naps in his stroller while DH and I enjoy the time by walking through shops or wandering in the World Showcase. Only time we took a break was on our honeymoon, and I wasn't feeling very well one afternoon. Otherwise, we are open to closers!

I think it depends on the time of year.

My first 2 trips to WDW were in Oct. and Sept. The weather is bearable, the park hours are shorter. So we didn't take breaks.

This year, however, we went in June. It was HOT! We were all tired. So we went back to the hotel, relaxed, napped, sometimes changed shirts. It was great! I park hopped, so I had to get on the bus anyway......

We always take the break. We get to the park at opening and then go until lunch. At 11:00 or so we stop for a nice lunch and then leave the park. We head back to the resort for several hours because we honestly enjoy just relaxing. We head back out around 4:00 but rarely stay out past 8:00 or so. We have an almost nine year old with Asperger's and too much time on her feet or in the heat makes meltdowns a certainity. She needs downtime.

We (mom and I) aren't breakers. We go all day long in the parks. We do relax around the parks, seating around and such.

But when we went in December with my nieces we indeed needed that break. Going with two 5 yr olds and a 15 yr old is very difficult, well for us since we had never gone to wdw with kids. But we only took about 3 breaks in those 9 days over there, since we were off-site. Most of the times my nieces slept in the stroller or we just had a couple of hours sitting around and let them play or just relax around. With the 15 yr old was another story, he just needed attention, since we were all girls.

We don't take breaks either...we'll head to the parks for opening and leave late afternoon if we have a dinner reservation at one of the resorts... otherwise we just keep going and going and going.

Lucky for us DS7 used to take good naps in a stroller and DS2 can take a 10 minute nap and wake up as refreshed as if he had taken a 3 hour one!

I always thought it was more effort than it was worth to leave a park, return to hotel and then go back to a park.

:)

Unless you count sitting on a bench eating a Mickey bar as a break. Otherwise, nope, no breaks for us.

Never in all my trips have I left the park during the day. I'm there from opening until closing time. However, we do try to take a midweek break from the parks and go to Downtown Disney and/or go swimming. Other than that, I'm at the parks everyday of my vacation. If I wanted to nap, I'd stay home. If I wanted to swim everyday, I could do that at home too.
