Does anyone NOT make room requests?

We just took our first trip in June. I did ask for non-smoking rooms in all resorts. At ASMo I asked for Toy Story building and got it. At AKL, we reserved a savannah view, made no specific room requests. I was glad cause the room they gave us was awesome!!!

I, too, request a non-smoking room for medical reasons (asthma). It just seems that each room we've had is EXACTLY what we wanted. We've had corner rooms at PO Riverside, once we had a waterview room, and on our last visit (All Star Music), I had planned to mention that we wanted a top floor room in the Jazz building (we'd stayed there before, and it was great), and we were given exactly what I wanted without asking. I like to think that my mental telepathy is so good that I don't have to ask!

The ONE time I actually made a room request was the time I got what I considered a bad room!! On my last trip to AKL I booked a savannah view. I requested to be on the Arusha Savannah. I was on Arusha Savannah in the very last room on Kudu Trail. I wasn't bothered by the long walk, but the view (considering it was a savannah view) was terrible. I looked to the left, saw a fence about 50 feet away, looked straight ahead - another fence; couldn't really even see what i considered to be the main savannah since it was way out on the end. Despite the lousy view I still love AKL!

It's reasssuring to know that there are non-requesters (like me) out there!!
