Does anyone not have Turkey for Thanksgiving?

I should preface and write that I don't usually celebrate Thanksgiving. DD12 usually is at her DF's house for the holiday. Well, she wants to spend it with me. So it would be myself, DD and DM. We are not big turkey eaters, as in havng for Christmas is enough.

Any ideas? I was thinking maybe rotessire chicken. I dont' know. Any ideas? I could take DD out on Thanksgiving and get a take home box for DM.

Since I try to get forced over to DW's family everyear,way too much drama I don't want.I buy a big fat T-Bone and bake tater!!

I was just posting a thread on this topic. I have made lasagne, filet of beef but we mostly go out. There is a nice restaurant that we like that is open Thanksgiving and they have a really nice traditional Thanksgiving plate my family gets and I get a filet mignon.....yummy!

We go out to a wonderful buffet - I love it. I don't like turkey and I usually have prime rib or ham. I miss leftover stuffing but thats about it.

I am vegetarian so I do not eat turkey. I get a Quorn roast and cook that which tastes delicious with all the traditional sides. Yum!
