Does anyone love their dishwasher? (and I don't mean your spouse!)

I have an "Admiral" dishwasher. It's the same dishwasher that was in our house when we moved in over 13 years ago. It cleans my dishes perfectly. I love it, cause it works so well. It does sound like a Jumbo Jet taking off for the entire cycle though. Oh well. As long as it works well, I will never replace it.

We have a Kenmore Elite. It is about 7 years old and if I could I would replace it tomorrow. It started on fire one day when my daughter was home and running it. The motherboard started on fire. We have had to replace a main fuse on it as well I think. Since we replaced those parts it is no longer quiet and as much as I don't like to I can only run it on delay while we sleep. If not it is just too loud. I am hoping to get another couple years out of it before I replace it. Sad thing is we are still on our original dryer (20 years and counting, but are ready for our third dishwasher. They really just don't make them like they used to.

Yikes! Can take that brand off the list!

I have a Fisher and Paykel 2 drawer dishwasher. I love it and will never go back to a regular dishwasher.

Over the last 32 years we have had a Frigidaire, Maytag, Bosch and now a Whirlpool dishwasher. The Frigidaire was what came with the house and was loud and expensive to repair. The Maytag leaked and wiped out our kitchen floor, the Bosch was quiet and expensive. The Whirlpool is only a year old. None of them washes dishes as well as my mom's 1960 Westinghouse dishwasher. But THAT dishwasher used about 4 times as much water, used very hot water, and ran about 3 times longer. Anything on the dishes never stood a chance.
We ended up going through our contractor's high end appliance supplier for the Whirlpool. Salesman was great. Pointed out stainless steel interiors are great, but he had never seen a plastic interior break in 35 years. He felt anything over $500 was probably going to give comparable life. Our choices were based on rack layout and models that were available in the color we wanted, or a color at all. Stainless steel has become the only option with some companies.

We have a one year old Bosch. I love how it cleans, it's ridiculously quiet. But.....it doesn't dry! Ever. I asked a salesman where we bought it...said that's normal for a Bosch. It was pretty expensive, so I'm a bit disappointed.
