when they go to Disney World?

Honestly, I think I lose at least 5 lbs every time I go! Even with all the eating, all the walking really must override the eating and I always come home at least 5lbs lighter (I don't stay 5 lbs lighter when I get home, though!)

Anyone else?

I was there a week and lost 10 pounds.

I know that I didn't gain weight on our last trip, but I can't remember if I lost any. The walking is good, but for us we are always so busy wanting to see and do everything that I think we skip a meal along the way;)

Geesh. I am doing Weight Watchers and trying to lose weight. Maybe I NEED to go to WDW.

I lost a pound last week while at DIS CON - despite drinking way more than I normally do (that is my story and I am sticking to it!)... and I ate pretty well too.

I did! Not a lot, but I lost around 3 pounds. That was amazing since we ate at sit-down restaurants and buffets almost exclusively! And I did not worry about what I ate, I ate what I felt like eating at the time. It was definitely all the exercise that made me lose those 3 pounds! Hmm....I definitely need more exercise at home

I always lose a little, even though I have way more than just a little to lose. :)

I'm not a snacker or a dessert eater, so I only eat slightly more on vacation than I do at home but am far more active.

I usually stay about the same:D

I eat a lot of junk--beaver tails, kaki gori, fudge, caramel apples, cotton candy and etc!

Yep....It's all the extra walking that I do at WDW. Then again..I lost weight on DCL too......maybe it was the snorkeling? I dunno but I sure didn't mind!!!!! :)

I usually drop a few pounds after a trip to WDW.

It's all the walking, for sure. That, and what my family affectionately calls "doing the Disney Sprints" (meaning all the running you do to catch buses, boats and monorails, or to get into shows).

Lose weight? Um, no but I did manage to stay the same in spite of going seriously astray from my Weight Watcher program! :)

Tricia had a pedometer and figured that we did 11 miles on the Thrill Ride Tour alone!! You want to talk commando.... :p

I just got back from DISCon and, although I never weigh myself, it does seem as if my clothes feel a bit looser . It must have been all the walking; I ate and drank about the same as usual. If I can notice a difference in just 5 days, imagine if I walked like that regularly. I think I’m going to try it!

Walking is obviously a lot of exercise but I also eat a lot of junk food when I'm there. So I usually stay about the same. I don't mind though because I'm fine with my weight.

Oh, DD, I think you nailed why I gained 4.5 pounds in 4.5 days. I think it must have been all the alcohol - the thought never occurred to me. (I've tried to block it out! )

I wound up losing 15 pounds last week. I know a lot of it had to do with me not feeling so well about 2/3 my trip and I wasn't eating near as much as I normally do. I think normally I wind up losing about 5 pounds though.

WOW Elaine! That is amazing. I knew you were having troubles finding food you could tolerate - but 15 lbs is a tremendous amount to lose in such a short time frame. Drink your water - some of that had to be dehydration.

:)

Laura, you are very right. That was too much too quick. I was beyond shocked when I stepped on the scale. I bet you are right too about the dehydration. I've been good and have been drinking my water and eating better since I've come home :)
