Does anyone live in Jacksonville, Florida?

I was called by a station here in Atlanta who acquired four radio stations in Jacksonville Florida and they're hiring a new staff.

Just curious about the Jacksonville area.

Where are the most desirable areas to live? How is the school system? How are the utilities? This is a big indicator of how much my monthly budget will be.

I've done some researching on the web but would still like to hear some personal experiences.

Robin--I work for a company that has retail stores all over the country (in Atlanta, as well as lots in FL). I am pretty sure we have a store or two in Jacksonville. I will check it out Monday, and pick some brains for you.

All I know about Jacksonville is that Mayo Clinic has a big clinic down there so you've access to some good health care, if need be.

We have friends who live in Jacksonville and we used to be stationed in Georgia, right over the border and spent time in Jaxs. One of my favorite areas is Orange Park. We were from NY and compared to that the cost of living is awesome. I don't have any specifics to offer you, just wanted to say good luck.
