Does anyone like the food offered at the pirate night buffet?

Maybe I missed something, but it was pretty bad (to me) last time I cruised... was just bad tex-mex. I was on the Magic and, in general, I thought the food was better on the new ships so I am going to try the buffet again this pirate night.

I can only answer from my 6 year old crew experience:

I said then, as I do now, why are all these people lined up like they haven't eaten before, let alone a couple of hours ago? And, it's the SAME STUFF (except fr turkey legs) although very very nicely displayed..

I can't attest to the quality since I didn't wait around to eat it and, besides, there was a Mickey Bar waiting for me in my room with my name on it.................!

We liked the wraps, we actually thought they were very good! We didn't go right as it opened so there was no line. Wasn't super hungry so we didn't eat a whole lot but what we had was good.

I never saw any crepes! I'll have to look again. We've been skipping the buffet because we're not much for taco bars, or turkey legs. But, for crepes, I'd go again.

We've only been to the buffet on the Wonder but the crepe makers were past the main buffet line in between the two lines (if you go down the right side buffet turn left or the go down the left side and turn right), I want to say where the omelet stations are for breakfast... I think, our last cruise was 2 years ago so that may have changed.

In 17 Disney cruises I only had the pirate food probably about 3 times. It's really not that special and the lines are too long. On a cruise I probably eat close to 10,000 calories a day so I think I will live without waiting in them long lines.

On our first two cruises we didn't bother... the Magic (2nd cruise) was completely insane when it was time for the buffet, the line was all the way along the deck and didn't seem to move. The next day it was pretty disgusting seeing the amount of turkey legs chucked into the halls! Didn't notice that on the Dream or Fantasy. Curiosity got the better of us the 3rd time (Fantasy) and we tried it out, it was that chaotic in Cabanas that we gave up trying to grab anything before we got near the crepe station. The amount of people that push in when there's clearly some form of line moving between the stations! It's like someone else said, pretty much everyone has had dinner, maybe even more, within just the last few hours so the mad rush doesn't make a lot of sense. I would try it once more just to give the crepes a go, but the main buffet wasn't very impressive at all.

We just had the crepes with chocolate sauce and, I think, strawberries inside. We had late dining so we weren't that hungry but we did like the crepes since I don't typically eat dessert so something sweet was nice after dinner.

Another thumbs up for the wraps (fantasy). I actually look forward to them.

I wouldn't know if I like it or not, given that the ravening mobs descend upon it like locusts and make it nigh to impossible to get within 20 feet of even a petits four.
