Does anyone like the Contemporary?

We got an excellent rate for the contemporary ($240/nt) that we couldn't pass up. We really wanted a monorail resort b/c we're only going for one night with our 18 month old. We felt being close to WDW and being able to easily get around with a small toddler was worth spending a bit more to stay close. We originally were going to stay at WL (not monorail I know, but still close) but the rate for the WL is more than the contemporary. I went ahead and booked it, but from reading the reviews on here it doesn't seem like many people like it. Does anyone recommend the contemporary?

We stayed there last August for the first time and really enjoyed the resort. We had a wing room (unrenovated) and it was great. We were close to the pool and we spent a lot of time at the pool (and my 12 yr old son spent a lot of time at the arcade). Plus our refillable mugs were constantly filled with frozen Coke.

We thought the room was huge (for a hotel room - we're used to one bedroom DVC villas) and would go back there in a minute, even using our DVC points.

If given the choice I wouldn't stay anywhere else, and I have stayed at Poly, Swan, CBR, CSR, POR. We LOVE the tower but enjoy the North Wing too!

My husband loves it! And after staying there in April with our daughter was was 14 months at the time, I now love it too. The location can't be beat and we had a great view too so that was a plus. We would have stayed there again on our trip Sunday, but got a great rate at the Poly so that's where we'll be instead.

I was there in September for the first time as an adult and really enjoyed it. I'm going back in a month with my niece for a weekend trip. I can't wait!! The convenience of being within walking distance of the MK is great, plus the views are amazing. You'll have a great time there, don't second guess yourself a moment longer!! Have a great trip!

It has been a while since we stayed there but we love it. The location is great and the walk to Magic Kingdom is very convenient.

The Contemporary is my least favorite Disney deluxe resort. That said, if I had your rate and reasons for staying there, then I would definitely book it.

We love it too!! On our trip last month as we were waiting in line for the busses to take us to POP (dont get me started) I told my DH, if we were staying at the CR again, we would already be in bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We just loved the convience of it and the spaciousness of the rooms. You wont be sorry, especially with a toddler. We just rolled the stroller onto the monorail and from the monorail onto the elevator once in the CR. It was great and I hope to stay there again SOON!!

Even without spending a night in a renovated room yet, I really enjoy the Contemporary. Great location, large rooms, nice restaurants.

I do not like the CR very much, and I probably wouldn't stay there again, but for a one night stay, you will have no problem. It is the closest resort to the MK, and with an 18 month old thats the most important part. Have a great trip !!!!
