Does anyone like the Beach Club Resort?

My husband is freaking out because he has not seen any great reviews on the BCR. Anyone stay there? Good reviews? Bad reviews? We've spent so much to stay there, I want it to be worth it!

You are kidding right? It is one of my top 2! That pool is fantastic. We love being so close to Epcot(we eat dinner at a country every night) And the decor of the room is a relaxes beachy feel(we got an updated room last time we were there and it was great. The best room I have had there works for a couple- it was a dormer room on the end as close to Epcot as you could get. It was a standard priced room and it was HUGE! A little suite IMHO so if it just the two of you try to get a dormer close to the park! If you have kids they will LOVE that pool. And Beaches and Cream ice cream is a fun ice cream spot in the resort. You are paying for location location location (and that great pool) In the 10+ times we have stayed there we have had only one disappointing trip-rude cms all over the place that trip-but never again. Always disney magical. You will love it!

I love it! Personally Im more of a fan of the Boardwalk, but theyre both beautiful resorts. Trust me when I say, you're in the right area!

We love it too. We would never consider another resort. It is a very relaxing resort, everyone has always been friendly and we love being able to walk to Epcot. Trust me, you will have a great time!

We love the Beach Club!! DS11 and DD4 say it is there favorite place to stay. We love staying in that area. The options are just amazing.

I also love BC, stayed there last year with my niece and nephew who were newbies and as we pulled up my 12 yo niece said it looked like a dollhouse.

The YC/BC are lovely resorts. We love being able to walk to Epcot and boat or walk to MGM. We love the Boardwalk, especially the Bakery! We love Stormalong Bay, as well as the quiet pools! We love Beaches and Cream, the Yachtsman Steakhouse and Cape May Cafe! Both resorts have so many shared ammenities, such a great location, we have a extremely hard time staying elsewhere on property! Have a great time, I envy you!

We stayed at BC in April and it is now my absolute favorite resort! It was very clean and our room was a standard view but we were so close to Epcot we could see Spaceship Earth right through the trees. It was also very relaxing resort. Walking to Epcot was quick and easy. Also, we walked over to the Boardwalk a few nights and hung out. Beaches & Cream was excellent and DS really loved Stormalongbay.

I have to say that I did have mixed feelings about it before we left because we are so used to staying on the MK side, but I'm glad I stuck with my plan because I'd definately stay there again!

DH and I will be trying out Boardwalk Inn when we return in Feb 06.

The BC is a beautiful resort!!! We have stayed there numerous times starting with our honeymoon, and have never been disappointed.

The location is great, the pool is great, I love the themeing/decorating.

You won't be disappointed.

The YC/BC is one of the great resorts IMO. Not only do you have great rooms and Stormalong Bay, but you can't beat the location. You're within walking distance from 2 parks, it's got a great water park, a beach so the kids can play sand in, entertainment across the lake, and it's got Beaches and Cream.

BC is one of our favorite resorts. It's not as compact as POFQ but it's not sprawling like the Poly either. Plus, all the rooms have inside corridors. No walking in the rain to get to your room.

The only downside to BC that I was not fond of is the refillable mug. When we stayed there last year, the only place to refill was at B&C or Hurricane Hanna's. That was a PITA especially when HH was closed at night and B&C was crowded. Now that they've opened up a new store, I think that situation has been remedied.

The bus system was pretty good too when we stayed there. Although they shared buses with the other Epcot resorts, there were many times when the buses were empty.

Hope you do not mind me adding a question on the this thread. I usually stay at the YC CL and were thinking of trying thr BC CL. I also have not read great things. Anyone have insight? How is the BC CL lounge? is it the same size as the YC?

Can't compare it to Yacht or any other concierge because it was my first and only experience...thus far. What I can tell you is that the lounge is fairly sized, there's no real 'view' to anything except the villas. Offerings were good, lots of beer and goldfish for us, evening cordials were nice, and breakfast was really good (had everything I wanted). Main thing is that they're well staffed, everyone there was simply awesome! I think the staff there made the experience a lot better. Hope this helps a bit!

Our absolute favorite resort!

We've stayed at All Star Sports/Music, Carribean Beach, Grand Floridian, Poly and OKW, but our absolute favorite, and our most repeated resort is the BC. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and relaxing; The staff is great; The location is fantastic, and the amenities surrounding it are fabulous. We have discussed going down and staying at the BC for vacation without ever going to the parks (although I know I cannot be that close to EPCOT and not go in!)

Thanks for the info. I am getting a little nervous about the things I have been reading about the consierge in general. I hope they are not making all the changes they say they are in other threads.

Let us know when you get back from the Poly.
We did the Poly CL in September and it was great, other then Hurricane Frances!
