Does anyone like Disney Photography??

Just wondering... I have seen so many positive threads about Misty and Randy and the Roots...Does anyone even use Disney photography??
Any Brides out there use them??? and did you love them or hate them?
Just a good heads up for future disney brides trying to decide.

Most of the photos I have seen from Disney are nice. I think a lot of people like to look elsewhere so they can pick their actual photographer and look through their portfolios and actually know who is going to show up on the day of the wedding. I also think Disney prices are not as competitive as some outside vendors and you also have to purchase the high resolution CD with images and it is pricey. A lot if not most outside vendors include a CD and the rights to your photos.

I think recently I have seen some beautiful pictures that were done by Disney. I think they are working out their problems and are on the right track now.

I think the majority of people who get married at Walt Disney World use Disney for every aspect of their wedding, including photography.

This board and the opinions we express on it represent only a fraction of the people who have Disney weddings, and chances are if you post here it's because you are the type who researches all the options - including those for non-Disney photography!

My daughter used Disney photography and videography for her wedding in May of last year. The pictures are beautiful and the video was excellent!!! We didn't have any complaints at all. Our photographer was Mike Strickland and Bruno White entertainment did the video and they were very professional and wonderful to work with.

Mike Strickland took the photos of the surprise bridal brunch my friends hosted for me and they were amazing!

We also had Disney Photo for our MK session and I love those photos as well.

We were married over 3 years ago and used Disney photography. I had no idea there were other options (I didn't find this board until after I'd planned everything, and didn't join until after the honeymoon), but I'm glad I didn't know there were other options because we were thrilled with our Disney photographer (Ty, don't know his last name). Our pictures are beautiful! There were a couple shots that, in hindsight, I wish we'd taken but that wasn't due to Ty - he offered to stay and take as many pictures as we wanted, but I was getting tired of smiling and said "that's enough" Definitely no complaints about Disney photography from me.

It's great that there are options out there, though, and lots of examples here for you to look at and decide.

Thanks for all the info. It is good to hear some feedback about using Disney. I am totally a person who researches everything, so I had to hear opinions about all of my options.

I also used Disney photography and I thought they did a great job! Joe Duncan did our Epcot photoshoot and our Escape wedding and we love our pictures. I have had no complaints and would use them again in a heartbeat. HTH!

We got married in November and used the Disney photographer provided with the package (called Ty). We thought he was great, he took some brilliant pictures and he was really nice too....i'm not really the sort of person who enjoys posing for pictures but he made me feel really comfortable!

We used Disney photography - not for our wedding, but for an in-park photo shoot while we were there. The actual day of the session was great, and the few pictures we were shown on their cameras were also great. However, we got a call from Disney photography management and they LOST ALL of our photos. We did not get a single one and right now Disney is not very cooperative in trying to help. All I can say is that I am SO GLAD we did not use them on our wedding day. I can't even imagine if they had lost our wedding photos!
