Does anyone like Astro Orbitor?

On our last trip to Disney it really wasn't crowded so we decided to ride the Astro Orbitor. I've been to WDW about 15 times in the last 20 years, but never went on this ride.

Well, I won't do it again. I expected it to be a simple ride but I thought it was a very scary experience and I couldn't wait to get off. I'm normally not afraid of heights, so I'm not sure that was the reason. All I know is that I really didn't like it.

Just curious about how others feel. I rarely hear comment on this ride.

I didn't like it either . it felt more like a cheep carnival ride to me and i was expecting it to fall apart. the cintrifical forces that are put on you in that ride were almost tomuch to handle.

I've never ridden it & never will.

I prefer to view it from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority...nice & safe.

I only did it once last Oct during the MNSSHP, Though there was nice views of the park at night.

I hated this ride!!!

I decided when DH and I went to MVMCP w/out DS we would go on everything, as the lines were pretty much nonexistant. The ride for astro orbitor was nonexistant. I have been going to WDW at least 2x a year since 1980....

Never again!! We went on and to make it worse, it was cold out and dark. I am not all that fond of heights but figured I'd be ok, as I had gotten over my rollercoaster fear. Forget it. The next day DS and nephew wanted to go on. I sent DH w/my dad to take the boys. My mom was not surprised that I hated it, I had always said I would never go on. :rotfl2:

Love the ride! Hate the lines!

Me too. Love the ride hate the lines. Best experience hubby had was riding it at night and got to watch the fireworks from up there.

Scariest ride I ever went on. Never again! It felt like the whole thing was having trouble bearing my weight. It tipped and wobbled the whole time and leaned to the side.

Yes I like it.

Unfortunately most of the time I have been there, the line for Astro Orbiter has been quite long, over a half hour.

If you fly the rocket higher you have less of a feeling of wanting to fall out overboard.

Hint: Astro Orbiter is for kids after they have outgrown Dumbo.

My oldest ds and I really like this ride. It's about as adventurous as i get! But it is one of those rides that really isn't worth a long line, and that line can get pretty long!

I hate this ride! It is by far the scariest thing ever....you feel like you are going to fall out of it or that the rocket you are in is going to come flying off. I will not ride it again. My son loves it, so he rides with his uncle.

The ride did not scare me, and at first I enjoyed it. But my problem was that for some stupid reason I decided to turn a bit in my seat to get a pic of dh and ds :crazy2: I was so glad when we stopped going in circles LOL

It was beautiful to look over the park at night but,, I hate it. It is the scariest ride at WDW

this has been a favorite of my 14y old daughter as long as I can remember. She loves it and wasnt ever scared. :woohoo:

My kids love it.. but it scares me.. I've only riden it twice, but now it seems to make me feel nauseated when I ride it as I've gotten older..

Heres the kiddos on it..

I'm not a fan of this ride either.

When I went 2 yrs. ago, I wasn't sure what to expect. I forgot what it was like when I rode it as a child. I loved it! It was a bit scary. I was surprised at how scary it actually was. The night time parade (spectromagic??) was going on and we had a beautiful view of the park! I thought it was awesome and a must do!
